TWICE (Hangul: 트와이스) is a South Korea-based girl group formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2015 reality show Sixteen. The group is composed of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu. The name of the group "TWICE" was named by Park Jin Young. The members also made an alias name called NaJeongMoSaJiMiDaChaeTzu, for everyone knows the members names in TWICE, and also for work reasons to not forget each member.

The group debuted on October 20, 2015, with the mini-album The Story Begins. Their official lightstick is called "Candy Bong". The official Twice logo that connects T and W was designed by member Chaeyoung and is put in all of TWICE's official activities. On the official SNS accounts and YouTube channel, the logo is also updated to match the concept color on every comeback and used as a profile picture.

TWICE have been given many nicknames throughout the years from fans. One of their most well known to all fans is Teudoongie, which is an affectionate nickname given to the group as a whole from fans.

NAYEON

Im Na-yeon (Hangul: 임나연, Japanese: イム ナヨン), better known by her stage name, Nayeon (Hangul: 나연, Japanese: ナヨン) is a South Korean singer. She is the oldest member, lead vocalist and face of the girl group Twice. Nayeon is the first member of TWICE to debut as a solo artist. Her solo debut was on June 24, 2022.

On September 22, 1995 in Seoul, South Korea, Nayeon was born into a Christian family that consists of her parents and younger sister by three years, Im Seo-yoon.

Nayeon secretly tried out and passed JYP Entertainment's 7th Open Audition and became a trainee on September 15, 2010. In 2013, she was cast as a member of 6mix, a JYP girl group that was planned but never debuted. Prior to Sixteen and her debut as a member of Twice, she appeared in few television advertisements and in several music videos of her label mates, including Jun. K's "No Love", Got7's "Girls Girls Girls" and miss A's "Only You." She also made a cameo appearance in the second episode of KBS2's 2012 Korean drama Dream High 2. In 2017, she, along with Nichkhun, starred in the music video of Jun. K's "Your Wedding".

On May 19, 2022, a teaser photo was posted on TWICE's social media accounts announcing that Nayeon will be making her solo debut with her first mini album, Im Nayeon, on June 24, 2022.

JEONGYEON

Yoo Jeong-yeon (Hangul: 유정연, originally named Yoo Kyung-wan) better known by her first name, Jeongyeon (Hangul: 정연) is a South Korean singer. She is a member of the girl group, Twice, as a lead vocalist of the group.

Jeongyeon was born on November 1, 1996 in Suwon, South Korea and was given the name Kyung-wan, at birth, due to being teased as a child, for this sounding like a boy's name, she legally changed her name to Jeong-yeon in the third grade. Her father is Yoo Chang-joon, who works as a chef for former president Kim Dae-jung, her mother's identity has not been revealed to the public. Jeongyeon has two older sisters, the eldest one is known professionally as Gong Seung-yeon and is an actress, the second eldest is named Yoo Seo-yeon and is an office worker.

Jeongyeon trained to become a singer from a young age, and also learnt to play the trumpet and saxophone.

Jeongyeon joined JYP Entertainment in JYP Entertainment's 6th Open Audition on March 1, 2010. Like Nayeon, Jihyo and Sana, JYP originally planned her to become a member of a girl group named 6Mix, but their debut was unfortunately cancelled.

Jeongyeon made her breakthrough in 2015 as a contestant on the reality girl group survival show Sixteen and was finally chosen as a member of Twice.

In 2014, she appeared with Nayeon in the music video of Got7's "Girls Girls Girls" and, in 2015, appeared in miss A's "Only You" music video. She and her sister were the hosts of Inkigayo from July 3, 2016 to January 22, 2017. Jeongyeon won the Female Rookie Award at the 2016 SAF SBS Entertainment Awards.

Momo Hirai (Hangul: 히라이 모모, Japanese: 平井もも/ひらいもも Hirai Momo), better known as Momo (Hangul: 모모), is a Japanese singer and dancer, active in South Korea. She is the third oldest member of the K-pop girl group, Twice, as the main dancer, vocalist, and sub-rapper.

Momo was born on November 9, 1996 in Kyotanabe, Kyoto, Japan. Her family consists of her parents and older sister by two years, Hana Hirai.

Momo started dancing at a very young age and decided to become a singer because of Amuro Namie and got into K-pop after watching Rain and Lee Hyori. Throughout her young life, she trained at the Step Out Dance Studio and was scouted by JYP Entertainment after they saw a dance video of her and her older sister. Momo and her sister were invited to the 2011 JYP Japan Audition which were held in Osaka (19/11/2011) and Tokyo (25/11/2011). Momo passed the audition, her sister did not. Subsequently, she moved to South Korea to start her JYP traineeship on April 13, 2012 together with TWICE's Sana.

In 2014, she appeared in the music video of Got7's "Stop Stop It" and the Japanese MV of Junho's "Feel". In the following year, s "R.O.S.E" and miss A's "Only You."

In 2015, Momo became a contestant on the reality girl group survival show, Sixteen. Originally, eliminated in the sixth episode of the series, she was brought back by JYP in the show's finale, due to him believing that her skills in dance and performance would complete his girl group, which was named Twice.

Sana Minatozaki (Hangul: 미나토자키 사나, Japanese: 湊崎紗夏 / みなとざきさな), better known as Sana (Hangul: 사나), is a Japanese singer. She is a member of Twice as a vocalist of the group.

Sana was born on December 29, 1996 in Tennoji-ku, Osaka, Japan, she is the only child of her parents.

Sana attended EXPG (Exile Professional Gym) Osaka branch, a dance and vocal studio where many Japanese idols trained, including some members of E-girls, Generations and The Rampage, from 2009 to early 2012. She first got interested in K-pop because of Girls' Generation's and KARA's rising popularity in Japan. At age 14, in her last year of middle school, she was scouted by JYP Entertainment while shopping with friends at the Osaka Namba Walk, a popular underground shopping mall. The JYPE scouts invited Sana to the 2011 JYP Japan Audition which were held in Osaka (19/11/2011) and Tokyo (25/11/2011). During the audition Sana performed the 'Mr. Taxi' choreography by Girls' Generation. After graduating from middle school in March 2012, she moved to South Korea to start her JYP trainee-ship on April 13. 2012 together with TWICE's Momo.

In 2014, she appeared in the music video of Got7's "A" and Junho's "Feel", making her noticeable and likeable by the public eye.

In 2015, Sana was a contestant on the TV Show Sixteen, she was one of sixteen female trainees in JYP Entertainment, who had to compete in singing, dancing and modelling, in order to become a member of JYP's upcoming girl group. At the end of the show, she was announced as a member of Twice.

In 2016 Sana shortly returned to Japan to take the University Entrance Qualification Examination.

JIHYO

Park Ji-hyo (Hangul: 박지효, born as Park Ji-soo), better known by her first name, Jihyo (Hangul: 지효), is a South Korean singer and dancer, and is the leader and main vocalist of Twice.

Jihyo was born on February 1, 1997 in Guri, Gyeonggi, South Korea with her birth name, Park Ji-soo. She legally changed her given name to Ji-hyo when she was 18 years old. Her family consists of her parents and two younger sisters, Seoyeon and Jiyoung.

When Jihyo was a third grader, she participated in a contest on Junior Naver for a child role. After she won second place, she was scouted by JYP Entertainment. She officially joined the company on July 15, 2005, and was a trainee for over 10 years. Jihyo was known mostly pre-debut as the face of Innisfree's teen line "TN" with boy band Boyfriend and later with future group mate Nayeon. She was set to debut in the girl group 6mix along with future group mate Nayeon, Jeongyeon and Sana and some ex-trainees, prior to competing on Sixteen, but the project was cancelled.

Mina Myoui (Hangul: 묘이 미나, Japanese: 名井南 / みょういみな), commonly known as Mina (Hangul: 미나), is a Japanese singer. She is a member of Twice as a sub-vocalist and the main dancer.

Mina Myoui was born to a Japanese couple in San Antonio, Texas, USA on March 24, 1997, and she grew up in Kobe, Japan. She has one older brother named Kai Myoui.

Mina studied ballet for eleven years before joining Urizip Dance School for more modern dance training. In 2013, she was scouted by a JYP Entertainment staff member while shopping with her mother and was invited to join JYP Entertainment Global. She auditioned in a JYP audition in Japan and joined the trainee program in South Korea on January 2, 2014. In 2014–2015, she appeared in the music videos of Got7's "Stop Stop It", Junho's "Feel", Wooyoung's "R.O.S.E", and Miss A's "Only You".

Kim Da-hyun (Hangul: 김다현), better known by her first name, Dahyun (Hangul: 다현), is a South Korean singer and rapper. She is a vocalist and the lead rapper of the group.

Dahyun was born on May 28, 1998 in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

Dahyun first gained attention in sixth grade after a video of her at church performing a "head-banging, wing-flapping, and thoroughly irrepressible dance" to Hillsong's "The Power of Your Love" went viral on YouTube in 2011 and earned her the moniker "Eagle Dance Church Sister." In middle school, she performed a solo in a youth dance festival and was scouted by JYP Entertainment. She auditioned for the company on July 7, 2012, and officially became a trainee. She later appeared in the music video of Got7's "Stop Stop It" as the main story character and Wooyoung's "R.O.S.E". She graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School in February 2017.

Son Chae-young (Hangul: 손채영), better known by her first name Chaeyoung (Hangul: 채영), is a South Korean singer, rapper, songwriter and dancer. A member of the girl group Twice, she was assigned the role of the group's main rapper.

Chaeyoung was born on April 23, 1999 in Dunchon-dong, Seoul, South Korea. Her family consists of her parents and younger brother named Son Jeong-hoon. She attended Hanlim Multi Art School for her secondary education and graduated alongside with Tzuyu on February 11, 2019.

After a successful audition to JYP Entertainment which took place on June 6, 2012, Chaeyoung trained nearly three years before becoming a contestant on the 2015 show, Sixteen, where she was announced as a member of Twice in the finale. During her trainee years, Chaeyoung appeared in the music videos of GOT7's song, "Stop Stop It" and Miss A's "Only You".

TZUYU

Chou Tzuyu (Hangul: 주쯔위, Chinese: 周子瑜), best known by her stage name, Tzuyu (Hangul: 쯔위), is a Taiwanese singer and dancer, currently based in South Korea. She is a member of Twice, as a lead dancer, sub-vocalist, visual, and the maknae.
(Note: The name 쯔위 was chosen as it is the closest Hangul to the actual Mandarin pronunciation of her Chinese name 子瑜 (Zǐ-yú). In Hangul, her name 周子瑜 is written as 주자유.)

Tzuyu was born on June 14, 1999 in East District, Taipei, Taiwan. Her family consists of her parents, a couple who work as self made entrepreneurs and older brother.

In 2013, she was seen by talent scouts at the MUSE Performing Arts Workshop in Tainan and traveled to South Korea in November that year to become a K-pop trainee. She joined JYPE in November 15, 2012. After more than two years of training, she appeared on the South Korean reality show Sixteen in 2015, during which she was chosen as one of the nine members of the new girl band Twice. The group made its debut in October 2015. She attended Hanlim Multi Art School in Seoul as a freshman, along with fellow group members Chaeyoung and Dahyun. She was in neighboring classes to Chaeyoung in her first year, then the same class in the second year. Tzuyu graduated with Chaeyoung on February 11, 2019.
