Here at Sanctuary retreats we believe everyone deserves to find their inner sanctuary. We provide high quality all inclusive yoga retreats (allowing you to completely relax) lasting from 3 - 5 days.

All retreats have daily yoga practices as well as fun/mindful activities! Depending on the retreat this may be watercolour painting, wine tasting, cooking classes, creative workshops, hikes and more.

We aim to make all people feel comfortable and believe yoga is for all sizes, abilities, genders and ages.

Incorporating the yogic principal “ahimsa”- meaning non harming - all food provided on retreats are plant based, vegan and yummy.

Immerse yourself in nature at our stunning retreat location in Margaret River, our home for the weekend. Explore the elements: fire, water, earth, air and ether.

For this retreat imagine morning ocean dips, fiery yoga, pranayama, creative activities, grounded yin practices, along with much needed down time to reset & relax and more…

Deepen your understanding of yoga with relatable yoga philosophy woven into the weekend like never before.

Plant-based meals & drinks will be provided, full of flavour & made with lots of love. Local wine optional (it is Margaret river).

Fill your cup, dedicate a weekend to you, and connect with likeminded people on this autumnal retreat.

You might like to come with friends or fly solo, either way you will not regret it and we cannot wait to welcome you!

Your Accommodation

Queen bed - private suite.

Perfect for couples or anyone who appreciates a little more privacy.
Your own bathroom and kitchen facilities.

Single bed - shared room in main house.

You may choose to share this room with a friend, or if travelling alone we will pair you up with a fellow yogi :)
Each room has an en-suite.

Introducing your hosts

When yin meets yang

Your hosts Tara and Jess are delighted to invite you to their Autumn retreat. Having noticed each other working at the same yoga studios in Perth, they connected via Instagram. Both sharing a love for asana and vegan food their friendship was instant!

With Jess’s love for and experience with cooking nourishing vegan foods and Tara’s passion for expression through the visual arts, the pair believed they could create something special together.

On the mat, Tara and Jess will offer a balance of yin and yang, working together to compliment each other’s teaching styles and abilities.

Tara Shampasadh

From the UK Tara moved to Perth at the end of 2019 to live her best life by the ocean. She completed her 200hrs teacher training with Shivakali Yoga California and teaches at some of Perth’s best yoga studios.

Tara’s love of yoga stems from her love for movement and the human form. She encourages you to “focus on the feeling” and not how it looks, guiding you through full bodied flows and sequences in Hatha and vinyasa classes. Tara also hopes to challenge you, and encourages personal growth in your yoga practice, weather this is physically or emotionally. She enjoys the playful side of yoga and will guide you to find your edge and to try something new.

In this retreat Tara hopes for you to leave with a sense of community, grounding and a deeper love and understanding of your own body, mind and spirit.

Jess O’Brien

Jess is a warm and nurturing yoga teacher with a love for all things yin. Recently moving away from a full time career in the corporate world, Jess is familiar with the every day stressors that can stem from the flow and flux of life; this is ultimately what led her to completing her yoga teacher training.

Jess offers a supported practice that allows students to explore their body, mind and breathe; with a passion for nurturing her community, you’ll leave your mat feeling balanced and calm.

Having a natural ability to respond to the energy of a class, Jess creates a safe and welcoming environment for every body.
With a genuine care for all her students, Jess makes yoga accessible, enjoyable and meaningful for everyone.
