The Distance Between You and Me is Us (2021)
This collaborative project brings together diverse photographs from across historical periods in order to address the dynamic of “social distance,” as both a societal and photographic conundrum. The virtual exhibition investigates the ways particular photographs can simultaneously suggest connectedness and separateness, solitude and community, inclusions and exclusions, and raises relevant relationships to current crises including the global pandemic, racial injustice, and climate change.
