What’s on my shelf?
My 3 AM reviews of all the books
Where The Forest Meets the Stars by Glendy Vanderah
A quick, easy read. 3.55/5. A missing child shows up on a doorstep, a love story mixed in, plus some less than spectacular portrayal of mental health problems, and a lot of unnecessary details weaved in. Kept my attention but not something I’d read again.
Oona Out of Order by Margarita Montimore
This was such a refreshing one to read! I finished it in just a few days. You all know I love a book that doesn’t primarily focus on women being raped, abducted, etc but is still a page turner. I received this book through our local bookstore when they did a fun book exchange. Plot includes a story of a woman who experiences her life out of order and ‘leaps’ between years.
Burnout by Emily Nagasaki & Amelia Nagoski
In progress but picked this up because I enjoyed Emily’s book “Come As You Are” and all the sex positivity laced with science. 🤯 also, the title. Love a witty title.
I Love Us: A Book About Family
One of Reese’s favorites we received in her Little Feminist Bookclub subscription. Features families of all types and all things inclusive! At the back is a mirror that Reese’s loves to give herself kisses on and a cute little family tree kids can write in as they learn about their family!
