Whether you are designing a low-rise car dealership, office building, or a shopping centre, the Savaria Orion MRL is a 'brilliant' solution for buildings up to 3 stories. 🤩🌠🌌
Important Safety Notice
Important Safety Notice: Savaria recalls for repair Savaria and Garaventa branded Eclipse, Infinity, Kwiklift, MR and HR
residential elevators manufactured from 1999 to 2021. Young children can become entrapped in the space between the exterior landing (hoistway) door and the interior elevator car door or gate due to a hazardous gap, and suffer serious injuries or death when the elevator is called to another floor. For more information on obtaining free space guards see link below.
Restaurant Accessibility - City News
North America's third-largest city may not be as accessible as you would think. @taylorln has drawn attention to Toronto's gap in accessibility. When going out to restaurants, there is often more than food at 'steak' for people with physical disabilities: it can be a challenge to research if there is a way to get through the door in the first place. Spaces that claim to be accessible online may not be as they seem in person.
Restaurant Accessibility - Toronto Star
A recent Toronto Star survey of patios downtown including the Queen Street West, College Street and Kensington Market areas found that only 14 out of 50 were accessible with either a ramp or sidewalk level patio and mobile chairs. Another 50 without ramps also only had orange pylons and concrete blocks on the road without patio furniture, and were likely still being set up.
Interactive Guide to Commercial Accessibility
Design without limits. Build without barriers.
Explore a world of beautiful, brandable, flexible and functional accessibility for commercial and public buildings. Our new, interactive guide is a showcase of vertical platform lifts, LU/LA elevators and inclined platform lifts that provide access while enhancing aesthetics. The guide includes fun polls, specifications and quick links to BIM objects and design drawings so you can get the tools you need to incorporate beautiful access into your designs.

Probuilder - Demand for Aging in Place
Check out this article from @probuildermagusa about the projected growing demand for aging in place. “When we’re not planning ahead we need to react quickly,” said Dr. Harrell, who added that the best homes integrate universal design elements that can accommodate life for aging, but also unexpected illness, injury or disability. “The vast majority of people want to stay in their homes as they age, and most homes in this country aren’t designed to allow that to happen.”
The solution? Mobility equipment like home elevators and stairlifts can help future proof your home for the years to come. From luxury to more affordable options, Savaria offers products to help you achieve #mobilityforlife.
