Multi-Use Brushes? Yes please!

As someone who has had contact dermatitis, can I just say, I DON’T RECOMMEND. It can be so hard to keep makeup clean and figure out a culprit when your brow brush is used for many purposes laying down whispie hairs, getting laminated looking brows, or declumping the 14 different ancient mascaras you decide to never throw out. Regardless of the use, it’s important to take care of our skin and minimize bacteria and exposure to irritants.

When you have thick hair, curling and styling takes 100 years and extra arms. These alligator clips help so much! They grip my hair without damage or denting my styling and help me stay hands free on the sections I am done with. Also they come in the cutest colors!

I’m getting a straightener?

Just got my hair blown out at Blo this week and I was wowed by the super thin and sleek straightener she used to give me the most gorgeous waves. I recall 2010 Kristan’s obsession with Chi, and while we can all agree that stick straight hair should stay in the past, I’m learning there’s lots of uses for a good straightener and it maintains a curl so much better than even some traditional curling irons/wands. Consider this my return to the straightener world. She’s elegant in all black, her long titanium plates ensure your hair never gets pulled and give you the ultimate shine — put her in the cart.

Rechargeable Electric Lighter

I’ve bought two of these lighter sets (one that I left in Austin by accident and now another in New England) and cannot recommend them more. They last a lifetime, charge quickly, have a safety switch, and are perfect for relighting my deep pillar candles at parties without burning myself. My guests love doing the honor of lighting the room up for the evening and really enjoy using them. 10/10 in my book!

Indoor Plant Grow Lamp

When I moved to New England, I knew my plants would be craving more light, but I don’t think I realized how thirsty for that sweet sweet sun they’d be. I purchased three different LED grow lamps and this one is definitely my favorite. It’s sleek, less industrial than other styles, and comes in a wide variety of colors! Other features I love: timer function to have it run at different set times, variable light spectrum, height adjustable, and dimmable light.

Kitsch Waterproof Shower Cap

As someone with dry hair, dry skin, and dry eyes, I’ve learned that what works for others doesn’t always work for me. Washing my hair has been one of those lessons and as an adult, I transitioned to washing my hair 1-2 times per week to save me from the damage and frizz! A good shower cap is essential to this and I love this cute one from Kitsch. I really love this shower cap over others because it doesn't get moldy, has a good fit that isn't too loose or too tight, and stays put in the shower keeping my hair dry. I found that my last one had a towel like material on the inside and looked nasty after a few months. This one hasn't gotten any signs of "ick" and I’ve had it since 2021. It dries fast (i.e. perfect for travel) and fits both my head and my husband’s. Highly recommend!
