About Me

I empower Christian yoyo dieters to lose weight for the last time.

I was 330 lbs and in the hospital hooked up to bipap because my oxygen levels were at 60%.

I had literally been eating myself to death.

My health was suffering so badly that I was unable to work. I had previously been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, osteoarthritis, fatty liver, depression, anxiety and menopause and now I was suffering with Bronchiolitis Obstructive Organizing Pneumonia (B.O.O.P. for short).

B.O.O.P. is a rare lung disease with no known cure. The symptoms are treated with high doses of prednisone.

I remained in hospital for 8 days and was put on 100mg of prednisone a day. They told me it would raise my blood sugar, so I had to take insulin to keep it under control. And, of course, I needed to lose weight.

I met with a dietitian, who really didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. My problem wasn't lack of knowledge...my problem was having the motivation to stick with it.

Nevertheless, I knee I needed to give it another try. I did really well for a few months and then lost my motivation.

I joined WW, which helped as long as I went to the weekly meetings and tracked everything. It's really a great program, but there still seemed to be something missing for me. My determination began to fizzle out again.

Next, I looked into some other programs, but they were all so restrictive and very expensive. I knew people who had been on them before and as soon as they stopped the program, they gained the weight back.

I then checked out some supplements and shakes. They seemed promising, but again something that I would need to pay for forever in order to maintain results.

My next stop was a naturopath. I liked her approach to eating in that I didn't need to count calories or macros or points. However, it was also extremely restrictive and I knew I couldn't do that for the rest of my life.

I even jumped on the keto train for a bit, but very quickly realized that keto also was sustainable long term because it left out an entire food group! Plus, with my fatty liver and not having a gall bladder, the high fat diet wasn't good for me.

Oh...I also tried intermittent fasting. 🤪 Definitely not for me! It just wasn't worth bring hungry for half the day while I waited to be able to eat my first meal. Then when I could eat, I was so hungry that I would overeat!

I knew I had to find something that I could incorporate into my lifestyle and that I would be able to do for a lifetime.

And then I stumbled across a health coaching certification program. As I read over the course curriculum, I realized that this was the direction God was leading me.

I enrolled right away and as I worked through my curriculum, I knew that I had found my calling. All my years of struggling had led me to this point!

I quickly caught on and started coaching as soon as I was able. It just felt so natural for me.

I also started losing weight myself. I didn't feel deprived. I started to get more energy. I started to feel better. I began to have less pain and my health began to improve. I was able to lose 86 lbs and get off all my medications.

So...you're probably wondering what the secret is. What made the difference this time?

The difference is that I began to work on myself from the inside out. I learned why I eat the way I do; why I make the choices I make; how to stop emotional eating; how to cope with stress; how to balance my hormones; how to overcome the fear of being seen and being noticed; how to eat what I want and still lose weight.

It. Was. Life. Changing!

So now I'm a certified health and life coach, empowering other Christian women Ditch the Diet and E.A.T. (Energize, Abide, Transform) so they can get off the yoyo diet rollercoaster and lose weight for the LAST TIME...without feeling deprived.

Do I still struggle? Absolutely I do! I'm human. I make mistakes. But now I have the tools to pick myself up and keep going. No more yoyo dieting for me!

And you know what? That's what makes me a good coach. I know what it's like. I've been there. I'm on the journey with you.

I also know that everybody is different. There isn't a "one size fits all" approach. You need to find what works best for you. And you need to get to the root cause of it all. When you break through those barriers, change your mindset, the possibilities are endless.

If you want me to walk this journey with you, let's schedule a strategy call to see if working together would be a good fit.
