MEET YOUR PRACTIONER

Hey, I’m Jassy (She/Her) the Founder, Sexologist and your Pleasure Advocate at Second Base—an online sex therapy clinic and education platform that exists to make conversations about sex, pleasure, and intimacy way more accessible, inclusive, and actually useful.

I’m a certified Somatic Focused Sexologist with a background in mentoring, somatics, and yoga—and I’ve spent the last eight years helping people feel more at home in their bodies, more connected in their relationships, and more confident in their sex lives.

These days, I specialise in supporting folks with vaginismus and painful penetration. It’s work that’s close to my heart—because so many people feel stuck, broken, or alone when sex feels painful or impossible. I’ve completed professional training specifically in vaginismus support, and I offer a 1:1 program that’s practical, pleasure-based, and nervous-system-aware.

I’ve been mentored by one of Melbourne’s leading Clinical Sexologists and interned for POSMO, a beloved sexual wellness brand. I also hold qualifications through the Australian Institute of Somatic Sexology (AISS), am a member of the Somatic Sexology Association of Australasia, and I’m currently completing my Bachelor in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Since launching Second Base, I’ve supported over 100 clients and couples with everything from low desire to sexual shame to communication blocks. My work’s been featured in Body + Soul magazine, and when I’m not working, you’ll usually find me surfing, drinking oat capps, or reading something feminist or fantasy related.

What Is Vaginismus? + The Support Program

Painful or impossible sex/ penetration? Can’t figure out why?

If penetration feels impossible, like your body’s shutting down or saying no even when your brain is trying to say yes, you might be dealing with vaginismus.

It’s more common than people think, and it’s rarely spoken about properly.
This is for anyone who’s felt like they’re doing something wrong, or that their body is betraying them. You’re not broken. You’re not too far gone. You just haven’t been given the right kind of support.

This 1:1 program is here to help you reconnect with your body in a way that’s safe, slow, and actually grounded in pleasure. We’ll focus on understanding vaginismus, reducing fear, building safety, and real workable practices to help you.

If you’ve tried clinical approaches that left you overwhelmed or missed the emotional side of it completely, you’re in the right place.

“This is the first time I’ve felt like someone actually gets it — like really gets what this feels like and how stuck I’ve felt.”

“I’ve done pelvic physio, I’ve read all the blogs… but nothing made me feel as calm and clear as this. I finally feel like I’m working with my body, not against it.”
