LET YOURSELF BE KNOWN

“DO NOT BELIEVE EVERY THING YOU THINK”

I, myself, am not a professional nor a person who studies about mental healthcare. I am just a person who's also struggling to maintain a good mental health. I want to advocate for greater acceptance of mental health and the freedom to speak up when we are not feeling okay. I want everyone to know that they are not alone, you are not alone. I am not alone.

We all face many problems in our lives. And it is okay to feel tired facing those problems, it is totally okay to think of giving up. I heard of a quote that said “It's okay to not be okay. It's just not okay to stay that way.”

Our emotions changes every second, every hour, every day, so do not let yourself stay to be not okay. "Our future is brighter than our past." Our best days are ahead of us. We have a reason to live, and it is too soon to give up.

"IT'S OKAY TO SHED A TEAR, BUT DON'T YOU TEAR YOURSELF."
- Moonchild by RM

Many people may invalidate your feelings but don't you invalidate yourself just because you think that other people might have it worse. Even if their problems are a lot worst than yours it doesn't give you any single chance to invalidate your own feelings. Remember that we all have different problems, we all have different ways how to deal with those. Does it matter if others had it worst than you? Does it matter if you had it worst than others? No, it doesn't. Your feelings are valid. Their feelings are valid. Our feelings our valid. So, we all better stop to compare ourselves to how big or small our problems than to others.
IT DOESN'T MATTER. THEY ARE THEM, WE ARE US.

"DON'T JUDGE YOURSELF THROUGH THE EYES OF OTHERS."
- Jerico Silvers

Look at yourself through your own eyes. Others don't even know a single thing about you, about all your struggles, all your traumas, and all your many scars that needs healing.

See all your efforts, all your hopes in becoming a better person. Focus on yourself, focus on making yourself better not for others but for YOU. Just remember that we are not perfect, all of us have many flaws that we hide, many mistakes that we all did that still haunt us until now, and it's totally fine and normal, because those things are making us strive to be the better version of us, of ourselves.

“If you only shine light on your flaws, all your perfects will dim.”

“We’re all full of flaws. Hundreds of them. They’re like tiny holes all over our skin. And like your fortune said, sometimes we shine too much light on our own flaws. But there are some people who try to ignore their own flaws by shining light on other people’s to the point that the other person’s flaws become their only focus. They pick at them, little by little, until they rip wide open and that’s all we become to them. One giant, gaping flaw.”

- All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover

All those things that I've mentioned may be a hard thing to process or to do, because I am also having a hard time dealing with my own mental health, not just mental health but also physical health. But try, let us try to make ourselves to feel better, to be better or to be the best.

SPEAK UP. LET YOURSELF BE KNOWN.

Remember what a wise man named KIM NAMJOON of BTS once said,
“FIND YOURSELF, FIND YOUR VOICE BY SPEAKING YOURSELF.”
