Shantel C. is an ambitious, upcoming female Cape Verdean-American musician, actress, and dancer from Dorchester, Boston. Only a freshman at the Berklee College of Music, Shantel C. is one of the most active performers in the Cape Verdean community. With 11 years as a vocalist and performer, Shantel’s abilities allow her to share the stage and status with various decorated artists in her genre, including Gil Semedo, Elida Almeida, Cordas do Sol, and Jorge Neto to name a few.

In 2018, Shantel began learning and performing songs in Cape Verdean Creole for the first time and fell in love with the music of her culture. Performing all over the Cape Verdean diaspora in Boston, Brockton, and Providence, Shantel uses her dual identity to spread awareness to and convey the beauty of the story of her Cape Verdean people.
