Chris Demetri - Founder & Owner

Coming from a family of hairdressers & barbers, I started my career in 2001 in the UK, training at Alan D School of Hairdressing in London. I then went on to open my own salons and for the next ten years worked in them before migrating to Perth in 2009.

I began working in the industry immediately whilst getting a feel for the local business & hairdressing landscape. I opened my first Shape up at Barbertown site in 2014, with the vision to bring to the local hairdressing industry, my very own traditional English style of barbering, offering extended trading hours, welcoming and relaxed salon experiences, offering complimentary drinks & friendly, efficient services whilst maintaining the traditional barbershop experience.

Quickly growing my reputation in the local industry through my success, I began being invited into other local community shopping centre’s, and in this process discovered that there was a gap in the lady’s hairdressing services, and so HALO for hair was born, offering the same level of efficiency, service & comfort as the Barbertown brand & provides the shopping centre with a one stop shop for all family hairdressing needs.
