From Tarnished to Shine!

When I first discovered these products, my first mistake, was thinking this was a miracle system instead of a tool. Did it work, YES! I lost 8lbs & 6 inches in 30 days. It took me 6 months to see the results my friends were seeing using this same system.

My second mistake was not being consistent. I would use my products when I “remembered” to. I wasn’t consistent at all with my products.

And my third mistake….yep you guessed it….I wasn’t consistent in what I was eating or making healthier choices. I, seriously, thought I could eat whatever on the weekends & “try” to do better during the week.

Sound familiar to anyone? Guess how well this worked out for me? Yep…you guessed it, it didn’t! My mindset, health choices & consistency were not in sync. I was a total mess & then COVID hit. Work from home became the norm & suddenly access to my entire kitchen. As a mom of 5 with 4 of those being teenage boys…you can probably imagine all the goodies that were at my finger tips.

Then summer came & it was time for the annual pool party. Imagine my surprise when none & I mean NONE of my swimsuits fit. The absolute worse thing was swimsuit shopping with an additional 40lbs 😬😳 in tow. Talk about a complete nightmare!!

And this…this was my turning point!!

Right then was when I knew I need to jump back into using my products & hoped I dropped 40lbs in 3 weeks. Yep I know…that wasn’t going to happen. So I decided things had to change & I needed to plan my attack on my weight!

And here’s what I found….

First, my mindset changed. I was no longer “hoping” I was going to lose weight, I was “convinced” I was going to lose the weight. There was absolutely no way I was going to accept any other outcome. I started living in the conviction that the weight was going to come off. I changed my entire mindset from hope to conviction.

Second, I planned my entire attack. I choose a health plan which was calorie deficit. Educating myself on the foods I was eating & my portions & how my body reacted to certain foods was important for me.

And lastly, I chose my start & end dates. Yes, an end date for what I was calling my education month. Knowing myself, giving me an end date was going to make my education month more successful.

My results shocked me!!

So in August of 2021, I started this journey weighing in at around 245 & wearing an 18/20 (more of a 20 than 18). In the first month, I lost 14 lbs & over 16 inches of fat off my body. Yep, it worked!!

Here’s what I learned:

1. Mindset is EVERYTHING! Change your mindset from hope to conviction! This IS going to work!

2. Plan your attack. Pick a healthier lifestyle that you can implement easily into your everyday life. Remember if it doesn’t feel like a chore then your success rate with be higher!

3. Be consistent! No matter what your choices are, be consistent with them within the time frame you choose.

4. Set a time frame. We get through the most challenges in life if we set small goals to achieve the big wins! Start small with 30 days then move forward.

5. Trust the process! Remember you didn’t gain the weight over night so it’s not going to fall off over night either. Everyone’s body works differently too so don’t compare your results to others. You are your only competition!

This is what took me from a size 20 to a 12 (which are getting lose on me now) & down 65 lbs in a few months. I do not follow a calorie deficit plan every month, I also don’t work out. What I have transitioned to is an 80/20 plan. Eating healthy 80% of the time and whatever I want 20% of the time. This works for me.

I also kept a log of what was & wasn’t good for me along the way & avoid foods that aren’t so good (mostly) for my body. Yes! I literally ate ice cream almost every day.

Everyone’s journey is different. Don’t get stuck comparing yourself to others…focus on your & where you are going & you WILL be successful!
