As the founder of NeuroElite, LLC., Shirley extends her transformative influence to clients ranging from 4 months to 15 years old. Additionally, she plays a crucial role in training athletes to achieve elite performance by conditioning and optimizing their brains. She helped to lead the Imhotep Charter Football Team to undefeated season, and become 5A PIAA STATE Champions.
With over 15 years of experience, Shirey has earned prestigious accolades, including the Philadelphia Eagles Educator of the Year for STEM Innovation and the Influential Educator of the Year award from Oakland University. These honors underscore her innovative contributions to education and her commitment to shaping a sustainable future.
Shirey's journey has been marked by pioneering efforts in designing culturally enriched STEM programs that inspire and engage students. Her passion for equity in STEM education has garnered recognition across various media platforms, showcasing her impactful work and commitment to excellence.
Currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Johns Hopkins University, Shirey serves as the Director of STEM at Imhotep Institute Charter High School. In this role, she leads initiatives promoting both excellence and equity in STEM education, furthering her exploration of new frontiers in the field.

Renowned for her pioneering work in the STEM Ambassador program, she has empowered students to become global leaders, addressing critical issues such as clean water access in communities. She has been a guest speaker for the DANA Foundation, US Department of EPA, and the Global Water Alliance Conference.
Hailing from Ludowici, GA, Shirey brings a unique perspective to her work, recognizing the importance of farming in addressing societal challenges. Initiatives combating food insecurity in Philadelphia, such as bringing the first hydrotech farm to the city, showcase her commitment to practical solutions and student involvement.
