As a small business owner, I know how frustrating and tiring it can be. Trying to get customers that will actually buy from you, creating loads of contents, posting and posting products picture everyday without even making any sales, that’s pretty tough I know right but do you have to give up??hell no!!

I remember back then in 2019, when i started enrolling for different online skincare courses, guess what?..85% of them was total bullshit, like I thought i was learning right not knowing it was total waste of money until I enrolled at formula botanica, formula botanica is an online skincare academy based in the UK. Enrolling at the school is literally the best thing that as happened to me skincare wise, so what am I trying to bring out from this??..this is to tell you that I didn’t just jumped into making skincare products, i invested my time and money into learning right.I recently just completed diploma in natural/organic skincare products with Hegai skincare naturals(very wonderful and well detailed course).

So here comes the FEAR!..fear of “am I really gonna sell”, “will people buy from me”, “can i do this”..this fear made me start procrastinating and i keep saying to myself, I’ll start when it’s right, when I’m sure I’ll sell, I’ll start then...lol, is that not funny?😂😂😂,how am I supposed to know if I’m gonna sell or not when I’ve not even started anything?..so fast forward to 2020, I decided to start my own skincare brand after months of procrastinating, I started with facial products.

I designed my stickers, branded nylons and all of that stuff then boom!!!! Its time to post, i started posting, telling people the benefits of my products and what it will do to their skin and all of that sha..😂😂😂😂expecting to be bombarded with orders😂😂..omo!, i no see order o like even friends that have been telling me “oh babe, we can’t wait for you to launch your products “ no order anything, then i got scared and started panicking that shey this is not waste of money like this🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️...sometimes sef, I’ll wake up to start posting then I’ll just lose interest that what’s the essence, nobody is going to order jhorh wo abeg I’m not posting anything jare not knowing that I’m doing the wrong thing.

I was just playing candy crush on my phone on this very day then I remembered my sister sent me an ebook one time about making sales and all of that, the title of the book is “sell like crazy” by sabri suby then i said to myself let me even read this book o maybe it will motivate me small, omo!🤦‍♀️😩😩this book long die so i decided I’ll be reading one chapter daily but when I started, i was shocked and angry at myself that so I’ve been doing everything wrong all this while then I started applying all the strategies in the book to my business and how i post(you can contact me if you want this ebook, its not free o😏)my captions and all of that stuff, that day i swear, alot of people messaged me to make enquiries about my products, i no believe am because na the first time be that, even though most of the conversation ended with “I’ll get back to you “, i was still very happy that they’re starting to notice me o until this very day that a girl texted me that her face is somehow and she needs products for her face so I recommended products for her and the next thing i saw was, please send your details 😳😳😳😳ehn , me!, so someone wants to buy from me at last😩😩😩..i swear i cried that day and also my friend in US that ordered alot of products from me and didn’t even care about the shipping fee just to support my business 😩😩mhenn!!!..ever since then, I’ve been selling back to back though everyday is not Christmas but I believe if you’re really consistent and passionate about what you do, sooner or later you’ll start seeing results.

And let me also add this, prayer really works for me, i have this strong believe that if i pray to God about something, he’ll surely come through so if you can always commit your business and your life generally to God’s hands, you’ll see a great turnaround in your business.

Even though I’m not where I want to be yet, even though I’ve not been able to reach my monthly target goal yet, I know I’ll surely get there with consistency and also with my passion💪💪💪! So my advice to you is not to give up, keep believing in yourself, don’t be shy about your business, carry it on your head and push yourself!..don’t relent and trust me sooner or later, you’ll get there..We’ll all get there.
