Videos I Watch

ASMR, journaling, stationery, soothing vlogs, or art

I like to watch videos from these channels for inspiration or to relax. They're so well-made and quite calming 😌 I have a playlist made up of these channels' videos that I play in the bg for when I journal. IG handles are provided with channel links ~

DORI's videos are soooo relaxing to watch. She draws about her daily activities and the videos are edited really well. If you're looking for something to watch to wind down or to play in the bg while journaling or something, DORI's videos are perfect for that.

@dorihee

milkcloud is actually a pair of siblings (twins?) and they create aesthetically pleasing videos. They journal, vlog, and do art. They are also super into kpop and post kpop journal content. They have a few pen pals, if you want to see what that process looks like. I cannot recommend them enough!

@miilkytae / @tokkicloud

mihan has amazing journaling videos. I love seeing her whole process and the ASMR paired with music is so soothing. She also has several pen pals and if you need inspiration for aesthetic pen pal mail, this is a great channel for that.

@mihan.iie

Sarica dabbles in many things creative: journaling, painting, drawing, handlettering. She sometimes narrates her videos and sometimes drops out to draw the viewer in with the ASMR and bg music.

@saricastudio

This channel is run by a couple in South Korea, and it's so cute. Very idyllic and, as their name says, very cozy. Very 따뜻한~ they have a playlist for journaling because their whole channel is about more than journaling, and I recommend all their videos!

@cozyday_couple

Constance hasn't posted that many videos, but they are high quality. She posts stationery hauls, vlogs, and studying videos.

@twinklestudies

I don't know how to describe these videos. I just know that I love to watch them and I want people to watch them. The calm pace, the peaceful almost meditative quiet...the videos draw you in, and they encourage you to seek the analogue lifestyle.

@baumkuchenstudio

This links to a JetPens playlist just for pen ASMR. I love the soft scratchy sound of the pen nib gliding across paper. The videos are produced well, visually and audibly.

@jetpens

Nikolietta is a professional calligrapher in Russia. I can't understand anything she says, but she has a ton of dip pen ASMR videos and that's all I need to understand 😅 the flourishes and the final outcomes are so pretty; it's clear she is very skilled.

Videos I Watch

ASMR, cooking, baking, soothing / lifestyle vlogs

I like to watch videos from these channels for inspiration or to relax. Some of these videos are in vlog style, some are curated like episodes, and some are tutorials. These creators will make you laugh, make you feel nostalgic and warm, and inspire you to try something new with food. I've included their IG handles as well as links to their channels.

This channel is a mixture of lifestyle, advice, food, ASMR. You see some snippets of her home, her family, her memories, all while she's making different foods and drinks throughout.

Each video goes through several meals instead of focusing on just one, like most videos do. Each video feels like a short episode into her life; even if it may be manufactured for the screen, it still feels so real and like you want to attain it. Everything is beautiful and done with precision and care. Subtitles in Korean and English!

@haegreendal

If you're looking for cooking ASMR, easy-to-follow recipes in Korean and English, and amazing visuals, this channel is for you. Even if I'm not looking for a new recipe to try, the ASMR is enough reason for me to watch these videos.

IG @wifes_cuisine

Other accounts rely on ASMR and bg music, but this account relies solely on the sounds of the cooking/prepping. I love that the sounds don't sound harsh at all. Recipes are in English and Korean!

IG @seodam___

Another cooking ASMR channel with recipes in Korean and English, this channel has a more quaint feel than the ideal 마누라-type ones. This channel feels more relatable because it's literally just someone cooking in their apartment. Definitely feels more approachable out of the channels I've listed.

IG @omad.log

This channel feels similar to 해그린달 haegreendal, but with less bg music. Multiple meals are made and shown, and there is direct commentary by the woman behind the videos. Really feels more like a vlog instead of an episode. Subtitles are available in many languages!

IG @kirakira83

This channel focuses more on ASMR, mostly of food but also of other things like slicing beeswax. Ingredients are listed in Korean and English, but subtitles are in Korean only. Should still be easy to follow, though, especially with the visuals. I also watch these videos before I sleep since they're so calming 😅

IG @hanse____

A Japanese husband with his American wife and their three cats. They have several channels, but this one is dedicated to the food the husband makes! The cats are often spectators and smell testers, sometimes taste testers.

IG @junskitchen

Here is the husband's channel, focusing more on lifestyle vlogs and doing things like gardening and sharpening knives.

Do you like video games? Specifically RPGs possibly like Stardew Valley? This youtuber makes food videos (calls them Cooking Quests) and edits them as if you were in a video game. 10/10 would recommend if the above channels are too slow of a pace and you need something more captivating.
