I’ve always been a creative individual from a very young age. Around age 8, I took my mother’s bed sheet and I turned it into a mermaid gown. It was all fun and games but I never thought that 10 years later I would’ve made my own prom gown. During my senior year of high school, it had crossed my mind that I would like to make my own dress but I didn’t expect to go through with it knowing that I had no clue how to sew. I went to several boutiques hoping to find something that I liked but I always left unsatisfied.

Time flew by and before you knew it, it was too late to even consider getting a dress custom made. Therefore, I had no choice but to make my own and I was excited but nervous to take on the challenge. My sister bought me a sewing machine and I researched as much as I possibly could to learn about sewing. Several days out of the week I would shop for fabrics and try to get a sense of what I wanted to wear. At first, I was very much discouraged and flustered but yet I persisted. When I finally bought the fabrics that I needed I put my best foot forward and tried my hand at everything I learned. It wasn’t easy but I kept going and I didn’t let my doubt hold me back. Every day I ran home to work on my dress sewing up until it was bedtime. The day before prom I finished my dress at midnight.

Nothing can compare to the feeling of accomplishment I had when I put on my prom dress. Everyone was shocked seeing how perfect it turned out. Whenever I showed people my dress they were baffled by the fact that it was my first ever project. They often told me that it’s something I should pursue and that I have a raw talent. Well after hearing it repeatedly, here I am. I present to you, “Stitches of Luxury”, my brand.

My brand is based on custom clothing. Everything is created & designed by me and I put a lot of time and effort into whatever I make. I now have 5 years of expertise and my skills continuously grow everyday. I hope to create luxurious apparel for all of my clients.
