A six-year-old rescue living in Ottawa with his owner Miranda Stillabower and three siblings: fellow cats Valiant and Pippin and a puppy named Aria. Smudge got his name from a grey spot that he had on his head, which eventually disappeared.

Smudge won hearts in 2018 when a photo of him was shared on Tumblr. A photo of the unimpressed cat sitting at the dinner table captioned “he not like vegetals.” This became Smudge’s calling card, and it was just the beginning bringing in more than 120,000 likes and reblogs.

He rose to fame with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong and later appeared on Saturday Night Live. Since then, Smudge has been turned into paintings, manga, cosplay, and much more. He also has his own official merchandise, which has been worn by wrestler-actor John Cena and former Pittsburgh Steeler Bruce Davis.
