About-Me
Former tech nerd transitioning into grant and copywriting.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Good old PNW. My summers were spent on an island in the Puget Sound which is now called the Salish Sea by some. The Salish Sea is technically the Puget Sound which is the southern region and the area between Vancouver Island and the British Columbia mainland. It is beautiful country.
In college I studied rationalism and the esoteric. My majors were Religion plus a major in Philosophy. I was a double major. Studied Kierkegaard and other existentialists. Studied Karl Barth, John Calvin and many other Christian theologians. My favorite character in Philosophy was Kierkegaard.
I owned a retail business for many, many years. Transitioned from that to tech work for some time and now I have transitioned again into grant and copywriting.
During the pandemic I started trading crypto currencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana and started writing on Medium. Through this I found more enjoyment writing stories and blog posts than I did writing code. To each their own I guess. Not many in the tech business would make this choice. I am more comfortable writing copy or grants than I ever was in tech.
In my spare time I feed my cat, practice yoga and my guitar and wonder how I ended up here at this time in this place on this planet. And I’m grateful for that too.
