Sociedad Amigos de los Niños (SAN) is a non-profit organization that provides health, comprehensive care, and education to children, adolescents, and families from diverse communities lacking development opportunities in Honduras
Because Honduras has been hit hard by the pandemic and closed its borders, medicine, food and PPE are in short supply. SAN urgently needs medicine and supplies, as well as medical professionals that can help founder, Sister María Rosa, and members of her staff (who are presently in the hospital fighting to recover) continue their mission to help the youth in their care.
La Sociedad de Amigos de los Niños (SAN) es una organización sin fines de lucro que brinda salud, atención integral y educación a niños, adolescentes y familias en diversas comunidades que carecen de oportunidades de desarrollo en Honduras.
Debido a que Honduras se ha visto gravemente afectada por la pandemia y ha cerrado sus fronteras, los medicamentos, los alimentos y el EPP son escasos. Sociedad Amigos de los Niños
Founded by Sister María Rosa Leggol in 1966. SAN is the oldest non-for-profit organization in Honduras, SAN provides social, health and educational programs to the most vulnerable in Honduras.
Santa Rosa de Lima Clinic at Nuevo Paraiso
Inaugurated in 2000, the clinic is a primary-care facility for around 60,000 inhabitants. It 24-hour emergency medical services, general consultations, dental services, labor and delivery, laboratory services, pharmacy, and ambulance services in the nearby rural communities.

This project of SANl trains young women in an educational environment of respect for their rights and peaceful coexistence, capable of successfully facing their lives, as responsible citizens, democratic builders of peace and justice.
