• 1 cup softened butter
• 1 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
•2 eggs
•2 teaspoon baking powder
•2 3/4 cup flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
-for rolling-
•3 table spoons sugar
•3 table spoons cinnamon

cream the butter and sugar (the one cup of sugar, NOT the 3 table spoons for rolling). mix in vanilla extract and eggs. then mix in the baking powder, flour and salt. roll the dough into 1 inch balls and roll in the sugar and cinnamon mixture. place on baking sheet with parchment paper and bake at 350° for about 7 minutes (until the bottom is golden brown).

peanut butter blossoms

ingredients
•hershey kisses (approx. 48)
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 3/4 cup peanut butter
• 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 tablespoons of milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/3 cup sugar

directions
••beat the shortening and peanut butter with mixer. add sugar and light brown sugar. then add the rest of the wet ingredients. in a separate bowl, mix together all dry ingredients and slowly add to the wet ingredients. roll 1 inch balls in sugar and place on baking sheet with parchment paper. bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes. immediately push hershey kiss into cookie once they are out of the oven.

gingerbread cookies

ingredients
•1 cup softened butter
•1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
•1 1/2 cup white sugar
•1 egg
•1 tablespoon vanilla extract
•3 tablespoons molasses
•3 cups of all purpose flour
•3 tablespoons baking soda
•2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
•1 teaspoon ground ginger
•1/2 teaspoon salt
•1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

directions
•••cream the butter, sugar, and shortening. add the egg, vanilla extract, and molasses. mix until well combined. then add all the dry ingredients. (flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cloves and salt). use a spoon if your mixer can’t handle it. chill the dough in an airtight container for 1 hour. roll and lightly flour the dough to 1/4 inch thick. cookie cut the dough. place cookies VERY VERY VERY far apart on a greased baking sheet. (don’t say i didn’t warn u!) cook at 375°F for 5.5-6.5 minutes until the edges of the cookies are light brown.
