My name is Anesu but you can call me Starr. That's right with two R's for emphasis. Well the name I'm sure you're wondering the origin well I gave it to my self because I shine wherever I am. No situation, circumstance or anyone can dull my shine.

I am a young mother to a beautiful baby girl. She is the reason I look forward to every single day. I owe it to her honestly & she deserves the best so shall it be.

Well why baking you may ask. I believe it is a love language between my late mother and I.Oh how I can vividly remember the spark in our eyes whenever we tried a new recipe or remixed an old one.

For many years I tried to deny my destiny. I was born to be a Chef it's in my blood. The same way mom found her way eventually I will too. I am still on my journey of self discovery and I would love to take you all along.

First Cake

Pink & Peppa

Maliyah's Cake made me nervous in all sorts of ways. It was my launching piece and I had to win the heart of a 3 year old . Geez I was under pressure. I was instructed to make it pink, peppa pig & vanilla flavoured.

I took time to look at some inspiration picture on Pinterest but I could not find something that made me excited. I sat down drafted my ideas and wala! My creative juices kicked in

I look forward to improving on clean cut sharp edges & seamless but fun cakes.

My Birthday Cake

Minimalist Decorating

That's my birth date yes. I am a February Queen. So I decided to bake myself a cake the impatient me 🙈 Well my gogo & cousin were supposed to but I was really really craving cake and super bored.

My all time favorite and go to is vanilla. I also dislike icing so I decided to whip up a small batch of under sweetened American Buttercream. Got some roses from the garden and wala! I know my picture is crap but trust me the cake is a beauty.

Cheers to 21 stick around for my next milestone who knows it might be a fancy cake y'all 😂

Second Cake

Second Cake huh😲 We deserve an applause 👏🏾 this means we are making progress.

The client sent a beautiful beautiful cake that was photographed by Lincoln Gore. Boy I was definitely nervous but up for a challenge. I can say it's not my cleanest and best work but I do aim to improve and do better.

Third Cake —

So this cake was for my twin sister "Olison" damn we used to love Liv & Maddie gosh take me back 😢

She just wanted a simple and minimalistic cake with a touch of class.
So we did the classic white drip, icecream swirl and macarons. It was a vanilla cake with whipped cream and ganache filling. I just drooled typing this out 🤤

The macarons were the wrong shade but we made it work. I loved doing this cake because I know she would give me the most honest review and that helps with my growth.

Special shout out to her for being my friend and supporting every thing I do.

Christ ministries children's home

There's more joy in giving than receiving. I promised myself when I launched Star.r's delights that my work would be a blessing to others not just myself.

Fourth Cake —

So this cake I can say I look forward to it . The mom is based in the UK she is such a warm individual. She takes time to carefully pick intricate designs for her family back in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼

Her son is currently studying cyber security but beyond the genius he also loves to play PS4 among other fun activities .

This was a beautiful yet simple design I loved working on it.
