- USING DMS
- There is no doubt about the fact that instagram dms are an excellent tool and good for communication between customers and owners. BUT you need to make sure you are using them in the right way.
- DO NOT DO DM TO ORDER, there are so many free website builders you can use! Dm to order fails to bring in orders, simply because people are ANTISOCIAL. They don’t want to go through the hassle of having to contact a company directly, and potentially taking 48 hours to place an order.
- Not to mention the fact that it is unprofessional. People can be hesitant to order if they think that a company is illegitimate, and they definitely don’t want to be sending their money and account information to an unreliable source. Having a website, even just a basic one, makes the customer feel more confident with placing order for both of these reasons: 1) they know it’s legitimate. 2) there is no human conversation if not necessary, due to the fact that it’s more reliable and trustworthy

- FOLLOWING PEOPLE
- I hate to break it to you, but you need to stop doing follow for follows. Whether it’s intentional or not, following people back just because they followed you is NOT the way forward. You will end up with in an insane amount of following, and instagram struggles to reach your target audience because you are not sticking to your niche.
- The moral of the story is: follow people YOU want to follow, and keep it as minimal as possible. Your business account is NOT your personal so there’s no need to follow friends and family. Keep the people you are following to accounts that are similar to your own in order to reach your target audience.
- POSTING ON IG
- Of course you should be posting on Instagram, but it’s about posting the RIGHT things.
- Instagram is turning into more of a video-based platform, and there’s no time to be living in the past. The best way to grow your followers is through reels. And the best part is- they don’t have to be time consuming to make!
- You should always make sure that are you are PURPOSEFULLY, AND CONSISTENTLY POSTING. This means that you need to make a posting schedule and stick to it, so that you reach as many people as
possible. This means no random posting, or posting in bulk. Your posts also need to be purposeful to keep your audience engaged, something that they can GAIN something from.
- NOT USING TOOLS
- instagram has so many resources, and if you re not using them to their absolute maximum potential, you are missing out!
- Using a business or creator account is fantastic for looking at your insights. Insights show you how people are engaging with your posts, and who you are teaching in terms of followers, age ranges, gender, etc.
- BEING TOO UNIQUE
- it’s no secret that being a business owner in 2022, also means being a content creator. When you’re creating content, you need to find that balance between being unique, and being relatable. This means finding audios with the signature arrow icon, ↗.
- This means that an audio is trending, and this is the secret into going viral. You need to use the same audio and concepts that other people are doing, but add your own unique twist- because nobody wants to see the same video across the explore page, people get bored very easily. In order to keep your audience entertained, you need to do a fresh take on a relatable trend.
- Make sure to always fit it into your niche to attract the right audience, and use hooks to make sure that they can share and gain something from your reel.
