My name is Stephanie Bates and I am the owner, creator, designer, web tech person (super technical term), product photographer, and anything else you can think of at Stella&Asher Shop.

I learned how to make jewelry in 2006 when my sister worked at a bead store and taught jewelry making classes. She stopped working there, and so did the jewelry designing for me, unfortunately. I loved that time learning from her and spending time together creating jewelry.

In 2017, I chose to become a stay at home mom after the birth of my daughter Stella. My son Asher was born a few years later in 2019. Stella&Asher Shop (my other baby) was born in 2020 as an “expensive hobby” and has now matured into a business.

Stella&Asher Shop is my passion project and my life’s dream realized. I also need something to do that doesn’t revolve around my kids, because let’s be honest, being a stay at home parent is way harder than working away from the home. This gives me something to focus on and work for, that has nothing to do with diapers or a sleep schedule.

My hobbies are hiking while listening to true crime podcasts (and then getting scared at every twig my shoe breaks), gardening, watching pretty much anything on Bravo, and reading murder mystery type novels. I am a Capricorn and Numerology Life Path Number 8, so yes, I am a confident, powerful, and resilient person. I am destined to succeed!
