About Me
Oh hi there!
My name is Stephanie, the artist behind Matemi Creations! As you have probably already noticed I love to crochet! I first started crocheting when I was pregnant with my daughter but dove more deeply into the art when I was pregnant with my son. That’s when I officially fell in love with making items out of yarn and decided to make a business out of it in October of 2021.
But.. you can read a little more about Matemi Creations in the next slide. As far as getting to know me personally, here are a few personal fun facts:
• I was born in Delaware (I know I know….)
• I am a mommy of 2
• I have loved arts and crafts all my life
• I love watching crime TV and HGTV
• I don’t necessarily have a favorite color but I love neutral and rustic tones
• I love to make people laugh
•I am part of a beautiful and hard-working Mexican family
Anyway, being a mommy 24/7 and running my crochet business (PLUS an online beauty business) keeps me super busy all the time lol But you can follow me and get to know me a little more each day by following my Instagram account (@stephhy.b) where I post daily. Matemi Creations
From Hobby to Business
My love for crochet goes back to when I was pregnant with my daughter who is now 8.
I remember making her shoes and headbands because having something for her that mommy made was something so beautiful to me!
Then, when I was pregnant with my son, who is now 2, I dove back into the art of crocheting even more. Trust me, I wasn’t a pro lol..
But I loved it! I did more shoes this time, rattles and more! Slowly my followers on Instagram started asking me if I could make them items and before I knew it I had a list of orders to make! Finally at the end of 2021 I decided to fully run with it and make my hobby and new passion a business. That’s where Matemi Creations was born.
I still continue to learn every day to improve my skills more and more. Currently I love doing a little bit of everything including baby items, dolls, flowers, car accessories and more!
My best seller being my Virgin Mary and with lots more in the works!

True Story, I’m a licensed Cosmetologist and I actually did hair for a long time but when I became I mommy of two I quickly realized that I needed a change.
I’ve always had love for hair and helping others feel beautiful. So when I found a way to continue to help others with their hair and self-esteem without having to be hours on my feet or way from my family I knew it was for me.
I partnered up with the leading hair care brand in the world about 2 years ago because I finally found products that are healthy and give real results. My hair started becoming the most beautiful hair I’d ever had and being able to give that gift to others was amazing!
Today, I have long beautiful and healthy hair. I’ve helped tons of people get the same results too and though I took a little break from this business, I’m back now.
