MR MACRAMÈ

MACRAMÈ PLANTHANGER WORKSHOP

Mr Macramè also known as Pete has always been interested in knitting, stitching and handmade crafts. With an obsession stemming back from his childhood, his grandparents owned an arts and crafts shop in Newcastle, UK.

From the depths of Covid he started his own little business hand making macrame plant hangers which has now led him to taking on collaborations with other artists, creating his own unique style of modern macramè and hosting Macrame workshops in store.

Pete is happy to take on new ideas and concepts. Be sure to get in touch if you'd like to start a creative collaboration or looking to up cycle with rope and knots.

ST KILDA ARTWORKS COLLECTIVE

St Kilda Artworks Collective was born out of the 4 of us instinctively sharing, and supporting, one and another’s desire to shine despite the circumstances 2020 presented.

It was such a welcome surprise, for us as individual makers, to have this creative camaraderie grow and a tangible ‘word’ of optimism that manifested into a dependable studio constant.

So with this fabulous opportunity from Renew Australia, Fitzroy Street & City of Port Phillip, we have transplanted this ‘ecosystem’ from our industrial surrounds in Greeves Street, to this - Our very public, project space here on iconic Fitzroy Street.

We are all super excited to share with you the fruits this collaborative intersection bares throughout 2021.

Welcome, Enjoy & Thank You
