Style Salvage
Sustainably Styled. Curator of re-loved fashion.
DID YOU KNOW? Fast fashion consumers have a vast choice of wardrobe options because people in impoverished developing areas are growing cotton, dye materials and sew fabric for the sub-standard wages that are low by necessity to keep the pieces cheap for purchase by consumers.
RESELLING doesn’t guarantee that the cycle is going to stop immediately, but the reseller market is garnering the attention of news outlets, designers, magazines and human rights organizations to the point of creating more awareness.
HOWEVER this awareness doesn’t necessarily ensure that someone’s hard work wasn’t for a fleeting fashion moment for a single individual.
EACH time we purchase second hand, we give a garment an extended life and this seems like its the very least we can do to make an impact however small it may seem.
