These are all this I’ve got for her…whether I’ve installed them or not.
**THIS IS NOT A WISHLISH**
This is merely for anyone wondering what I’ve got and where I got it. I’ve had some people (online and IRL) ask where I have found something, so that’s what this is for! I’ve included the prices I’ve paid as well~

You may notice a gap in purchase history regarding my beloved, beautiful, bodacious, bucket-of-bullshit (green) Bertha. That’s because I wasn’t working and therefore didn’t have my own money to spend (rip) maybe some (like CV joints) I definitely used a tax refund on. I don’t have purchase history for things I’ve bought in store like the batteries though, so those aren’t listed.
There’s still more I need to do. I plan on eventually giving her a full lift both inside and out. The fact that people enjoy laughing with me or seeing Bertha’s beautification is truly appreciated. I don’t care which reason you’re here, but I love that you’re here on this journey with us!

WHERE IT STARTED AND THE NAME:
The coworker I carpooled with bought a blue ice metallic 2005 Pontiac Bonneville that, after only a month, had the front driver strut’s spring snap. She offered to sell it to me for $500, and I gladly accepted as I didn’t have a vehicle at the time. Even when she still owned the car. I still referred to the car with female pronouns.
The name literally came from a vivid dream. I don’t remember who I was talking to in the dream, but I pointed to my car and called her Bertha. The name stuck. Myself and others now exclusively refer to her as Bertha, as if she was a living creature. She certainly has the personality of an old lady, so it absolutely works. She’s old…for a car.
If you go back to the first paragraph of this story bit, you’ll notice the color name: blue ice metallic. The state of Minnesota had the car registered as blue. Nobody sees that and thinks “No, yeah. That’s a blue car alright.” (If you read that in a Minnesotan accent, you’re welcome.) As a joke, I posted a TikTok about the color and asked people to guess. One guy said “green”. Now Bertha is just green, regardless of her actual color. Even if I paint her red, she’s forever going to be green. Her specific official (current) color is “Blue Ice Metallic” regardless. Let’s be real: it’s silver.

She’s a character, and she’s got some fans online and IRL. You guys are amazing. Even if you’re just here to see us fail, I won’t feel apologetic when we prove you wrong~ 💜

EDIT:
I’ve since got the alternator! I’ll find the link eventually. It’s cold though, and I’m only one person it’s hard to be inside with kids and outside on the car at the same time.
If anyone knows someone on the Iron Range of Minnesota who can help, please shoot me a message on Discord or something. I’d appreciate it! 🥲
