Ways To Get Motivated

Isn't it true, that we all want to get up every morning feeling great, ready to take life and it's challenges on? Well, in today's day and age, it's just not possible.

But what if I told you a few secrets to self motivation? A few tips and tricks you can implement in your day-to-day life, to feel your best self.

In today's blog post, I'm gonna share with you a few tips on ways to get motivated.

It's been a while since I posted on any of my social media platforms, simply because of a lack in motivation, self doubt, depressed feelings, and a lack of encouragement. Yes, I get these type of days quite a lot.

In fact, most times when I get into such a negative rut, that even thinking about making positive changes feels almost impossible and extremely difficult.

But even when you're feeling so down and out, all hope is not lost. There are some things you can do, to get back up and start all over.

Yes, feeling unmotivated, and depressed sometimes, make it almost impossible to change such negative feelings. I've been there, so many times before. In fact, I still feel that way from time to time. So, you're not alone. But I've been teaching myself a few ways to break out of such a negative rut, and I'll be sharing those tips with you today.

At times when I linger in such a negative slump for so long, it's mostly because I've got way too much things going on at once in my life. I'm trying to tackle way too much than my mental health can bear. Sometimes one forget to take a step back, and focus on one goal at a time. I speak from experience when I say, you cannot maintain energy and focus, (two of the most important things when it comes to accomplishing your goals) if you are trying to take on two or more goals at a time.

But, let's talk about a few things we can do to help ourselves get out of that negative slump.

First Of All...

(Find Inspiration)... When it comes to achieving my goals, one of the most important things in life is to find inspiration. Even when it comes to something so simple as setting goals for myself, I dig deep inside myself to find the best possible positive inspiration. It can be anything, from reading books, blogs, magazines, or even watching videos with a strong positive message.

The Second Tip To Self Motivation Is To...

(Write Down Your Goals)... I'm a huge planner, and I love writing things down. I do journaling from time to time, to refresh my mindset. And when it comes to goal setting, I need to have it written down so I can look back at it, and actually read it back to myself as a reminder. And having it written down, makes me feel excited for what I'm about to take on. I get excited about any goal I'm setting, and once I have it written down, it's just a matter of carrying that energy forward and keeping it going.

Tip Number Three...

(Setting Dates)... It's one thing to write down your goals, but actually setting a date for yourself, builds anticipation and creates excitement for what's to come. Make it a priority. I love creating events on my calendar, it makes me excited for a journey I'm about to embark on. Make it a very important date in your life, that way you hold yourself accountable for every goal you're setting.

Next Is One Of My Favourite Tips, And It's To...

(Get A Support System)... I most likely like the idea of getting a support system. It can be anything from, your husband or wife, a relative, a friend, a support group, people who will hype you up at the end of the day. Typically someone who can hold you accountable for your goals. Besides having yourself as a support, it's very important to have someone who will hold you accountable, someone who will push you beyond your limits, to make sure you achieve any goal you've set in the past, or in the future.

The Next Tip For Me Is A Very Important Reminder, And That Is To...

(Realise That There Is An Ebb And Flow)... Meaning, motivation is not a constant thing. It will come and go, so you need to create something that will keep that flame alive. It's like trying to keep a fire burning, you need to add more wood, otherwise that burning flames will turn to ash. But also, keep in mind that motivation comes and goes. Just because it's gone, doesn't mean it will stay gone. It will come back. But in the mean time, refresh your mind by reading up on motivational blogs, or read up on your goals you've set in the past and achieved, to boost your mindset. Keep feeding that fire, so it can burn brighter and brighter.

Next Up Is...

(Stick With Your Goals)... Whatever you do, don't give up. Even when you're not feeling motivated, don't give up on your goals simply because things aren't going as you have hoped it would. Think of life as a bend in the road. It's not the end, don't end your journey because of an bend in the road. Rather see it as a detour to your destination. It may take you a while to get there, but in the end you'll reach your destination.

Something That I Constantly Need To Repeat To Myself Is This Next Tip...

(Think About The Benefits)... Sometimes it's easy to linger on the difficult parts of life. And because of that, it's hard to see the benefits at the end of the day. Something to remember is, Nothing Comes Easy In Life. And to see the rainbow, you have to sit through the rain.

And Lastly...

(Crush Negative Thoughts; And Replace Them With Positivity)... Recognize negative self-talk, which is mainly the cause of your slump. Spend a few days becoming aware of every negative thought. Try and find a pattern, things that may trigger negative thinking and write them down. When you physically write negative triggers down, it will be easy to recognize them in the future, so you can try and avoid it. Stop looking at things that may cause self doubt, avoid watching things that may cause you to feel insecure about yourself. Unfollow accounts, that does nothing positive for your mental health. Rather replace them with things that boosts your confidence, and motivates you. Write down positive affirmations on a daily, so it becomes part of your daily routine to self motivation. And lastly, surround yourself with people who carries your best interest at heart. People who will motivate you every step of the way, and avoid people who carries bad energy wherever they go. They most definitely won't do your mental health any good.

I hope these tips will help someone who also struggles with trying to stay motivated. Sometimes we spend so much time thinking about how bad our situation is, or how hard it is to accomplish something, and sometimes that blinds us to not see the blessings right in front of us.

Recommendation #1

First up is one of my favourite foundations to use. I wrote a little review on my Instagram where I specifically explain why I love this products.

1. Reason being, it is the Maybelline Superstay foundation. And it honestly lives up to it's name being a full coverage foundation.

2. It's covers my blemishes, acne scars, and dark spots extremely well.

3. And lastly, it works so well with my sensitive skin. One of the few foundation that doesn't leave me breaking out. I 100% recommend this foundation to anyone who wants that perfect coverage, and doesn't wanna break out.

Highly recommend.

Recommendation #2

Next up, is one of my favourite locations. It's local, it's cute, and it's definitely Instagram worthy.

I've never really explored much of my hometown in the past. But ever since I started with the Sunetteable Brand journey, it opened my eyes to a lot of photo worthy spots. And this one definitely has great potential.
