About

We teach infant & child survival swim skills.

We are located in Pittsburg, Kansas, a year round facility.

The lessons are taught in 6 week sessions. Each child has their own 10 minute private one-on-one lesson four days a week (Monday - Thursday).

We teach children 6 months to six years old. They will learn to hold their breath underwater while their eyes are open. They will be able to swim with their face in the water and kick their feet. When they need to breathe, they will roll to their back (the survival back float). Then continue to flip back over to a face down position to swim to the wall or a person (swim-float-swim). Students will practice real life situations - how to get the wall or roll over if they were to fall in. They even learn to swim in clothes - to prepare them for accidents. This program does not make children drown proof, but it does give them tools that WILL give them a significantly higher chance of surviving an aquatic accident, plus make a day at the pool more enjoyable with the added peace of mind.

Miss Chevelle

Chevelle has always and still loves to be in the water. In her spare time you can usually find her in the pool. Unless she’s on the beach somewhere. As a mom, Chevelle wishes she had known about these lessons when her daughter was young. Now being a Cici to her granddaughter, Addy, who is six years old, started lessons when she was eight months. In a short amount of time, she watched her go from being scared and crying to having no fear and loving the water. They are always diligent to keep her safe, but as we all know it only takes seconds for an accident to happen. These lessons have added a layer of safety and security for her family. They went from being on pins and needles around water, to trusting Addy’s ability to self rescue. Chevelle is thankful that SuperStar Aquatics made water safety available to her family.

Knowing how loyal, fun, and passionate Chevelle is, Leslie has tried for several years to convince her to come teach with her. These two go way back, not only are they great friends, they are cousins.

Chevelle’s work ethic and dedication is obvious by her commitment to the same company for 27 years. After watching her granddaughter succeed in the program, she took the leap of faith and finally joined the SuperStar Aquatics team in January 2023. She now wishes she had made that leap a lot sooner. Knowing the difference she is making with every child that goes through the program is rewarding and to see all the achievements that the kids make within the first 10 minutes is something she is proud of. Knowing that she is contributing to saving lives is not just a mission; it’s her purpose.
