I'm a Nigerian author of fantasy, science fiction and general speculative fiction inspired by my West-African origins. My next novel, SON OF THE STORM (Orbit, May 2021) is first in the epic fantasy trilogy, The Nameless Republic. My first novel, DAVID MOGO, GODHUNTER (Abaddon, 2019) won the 2020 Nommo Award for Best Novel. You'll find my shorter works at Tor.com, Lightspeed, Nightmare, Strange Horizons etc, and in Year's Best Science Fiction and Fantasy, A World of Horror and People of Colour Destroy Science Fiction.
As a speaker and instructor, I've taught college-level writing and spoken at various venues, including the University of Arizona (where I also got my MFA), the Piper Writing Centre at ASU, the University of Washington and the University of Chicago.
I currently live between Lagos, Nigeria and Tucson, Arizona.
