About Me

What do I do?

I am an Environmentalist, with a focus on Climate Education, an author, and Marine Biologist with over four years of experience leading various youth-led environmental sustainability initiatives across Nigeria. I serve as the Executive Director of “EcoChampions”, one of Nigeria’s largest networks of professional environmentalists, leading environmental change through climate education and advocacy, tree planting, and plastic waste management in Nigeria.

My contributions to environmental policies and practice have been deservingly recognized; having been named as a 2020 Nigeria's 25 Under 25 Leader on Energy and Sustainability, 2018 LASEPA Ambassador against Pollution, 2018 Idea Hub Africa Talent of the Future, and a 2018 US Consulate’s Carrington Youth Fellow.

I am also a Chevening scholar currently studying in the UK at the University of Sussex, for a master’s in Environment, Development, and policy. In Sussex, I serve as the Deputy Chair of the University of Sussex student sustainability committee and a member of the SDG4YOUTH Network.

I have also written two illustrated environmental books for kids and currently pushing for Climate Education in Nigeria’s education system. Some days, I wear my creative hat through poetry to create artistic awareness of the need for environmental sustainability and justice.
