Live to tell inspirational stories
Hi, I’m Romy, a Belgium native, who left my home country about 3 years ago to embark on a journey somewhere else and that would change the course of my life forever.
Back in 2016, I took my career abroad and spent 4 months working and exploring Corfu, Greece and experienced the empowerment of being abroad for the first time.
Since that first decision, I've now been living for the past 3 years on this precious Canarian Island Tenerife.
And my new career as Givin me the opportunity to travel even more.
I want to share with you my personal journey and travel tips on this website with all you women around the world.
My top picks
My top 3 must-see in Corfu
Let me share with you my top 3 must-see when going to Corfu.
It's difficult to choose between all the beauty that Corfu has to offer.
Those beautiful private beaches, excellent bars and restaurants, museums and not to forget the Old Town of Corfu.
I just rented a car and drove around the island looking for things to discover..
#1 Porto Timoni
Walking down to a narrow strip of land that separates two of the most beautiful beaches in Corfu. #Portotimoni. The water is crystal clear and each beach has a different temperature.
Be aware that it's quite of a hike, so bring water and don't wear flip-flops like I did 😉
#2 Canal D'Amour
In the sea at Sidari, coves have been created between the sandstone rocks because the seawater has dragged away the soft sandstone. The narrow stretch of sea between them is called the Canal d'amour. It is said that everyone who swims in it while the canal is in shadow will always be happy in love!
#3 The Achilleion Palace
The Achilleion is the summer residence that the Austrian empress Sissi had built between 1889 and 1892 on the Greek island of Corfu.
Both the palace and the beautifully situated garden with a fabulous view of the city of Kerkyra, the surrounding countryside and the Ionian Sea, were lavishly decorated with mostly Italian-made statues.
The building is a museum and free to visit.
