Repost from @todinefortv
Winemaking is such a great metaphor for life.. and business. The hard work, the focus on quality grapes, the patience it takes to make something truly delicious. You could try to rush the process but it would be futile. On this week’s podcast, we head one hour North of Chicago to Tangley Oaks, the headquarters of the @terlatowines in Lake Bluff, Illinois to hear the story of how the Terlato Wine Group came to be. Grandchildren of the beloved family patriarch Tony Terlato, Tony the Second and his sister Elise share the vision behind this family owned and operated company and how their grandparents carved out their own American dream while blazing a trail in the world of wine. I loved hearing some of the secrets to the success behind this company… as well as a little wine lesson of my own by Tony! Such a fun meal and conversation. You can listen now at the link in bio! #inspiringstories #deliciousfood #todinefortv #winemaking

Italy’s Signature White #MDW
Wine Spectator recently featured Terlato Vineyards in a story focused on Italian Pinot Grigio.
Senior Editor Alison Napjus notes that “…in the noblest of northeastern Italian terroirs, Pinot Grigio can produce wines of profound minerality, with pronounced yet not overstated fruit, and with acidity to spare… [Pinot Grigio] needs only to suffer in elevated and climatically suited vineyards to produce world-class white wines that taste of the dirt they grow in.”
The feature article highlights Friuli’s hillside vineyards as a premier wine-growing region.
