Welcome to the6bells!
We are 4 siblings who have been lucky enough to travel different parts of Australia with our parents growing up. Now we can take ourselves and we would like to take you with us on our adventures across this beautiful country we call home.
Let the adventures begin!
G | M | T | P
We live in sunny Queensland
We often visit places in our local region (for us this is usually within an 8ish hour radius haha)
Agnes Waters + 1770
Mt Walsh is a national park outside of the township Biggenden. Climbing Mt Walsh can be tricky when you get near the top however if you persevere it’s well worth it! Be sure to take a few people with you.
Utopia Rock Pools
Utopia Rock Pools is located down the road from Mt Walsh! This means that you can cool off after your hike!
Located outside of Monto there is a Big4 park with plenty to entertain the kids! Jumping pillows, water park, outdoor movies and bird feeding. Cania Gorge offers plenty of bush walks that show off the natural beauty of rock formations and landscape. The dam is ideal for fishing and water sports!
Simply put, there is something for everyone in the family!!
This lake is the water supply for the Fraser coast. Built in 1984 the lake is approximately 9km long with a catchment area of 700km2
It offers beautiful camping spots and fishing!
There’s lookouts, cafes, hiking trails, galleries and markets.
You’ll be stuck for choice with all your camping/accommodation options here!
Annual visit to Goomeri for the pumpkin festival!
Multiple visits throughout the year to visit the Emporium and bakery!! PS there’s a free camping at Kinbombi Falls
Just a Little West
We had limited time off over the Christmas period so we decided to head a little west. We traveled approximately 2500km in 6 days in an attempt to have sneak peak out west where we haven’t already been. With no real plan in place we enjoyed our short time away with great company.
Roma is where you’ll find yourself at The Big Rig, taking pictures with Roma’s larges Bottle Tree and learning what’s involved at Australia’s largest cattle selling centre at the sale yards.
Charleville Rock Pool
Just out of town from Charleville you’ll find the rock pools. A great spot for a dip on your way through.
What a wonderful surprise Wyandra beach was! Well worth a stop for a swim or camp for the night. Just be sure to pack the mozzie spray and coils.
Cunnamulla is where you’ll find The Cunnamulla Fella, famously sung by Slim Dusty and Stan Coster.
Welcome to our day at Australia Zoo
We recently visited Steve Irwin Way - Australia Zoo!
Crocodiles, koalas and kangaroos!! And so many more. Visit Australia, Africa, and Asia all in one day (maybe two😉).
Be sure to make your way down to the Crocoseum and watch the crocodile show!
Tip: get there early to get a seat in the shade.
Venture your way down to Bindi’s Island to spot the beautiful Lemurs. These cute and friendly animals jump the fence and roam around freely during their meal time
Don’t forget the Meerkats! Make sure to reach the far end of Africa to spot these little cuties!
Remember to purchase a bag of feed for these friendly furry roos
