The Barn 1880
Our Story
The Barn 1880 once belonged to Sarah Ellen Pound, a noted prosperous farmer in Kosciusko County. Her rise from hired girl to landowner and farmer of over 300 acres of prime real estate earned her a full-page article in the Indianapolis Star newspaper in 1909. A century later, Jon Scroggs, Master Carpenter, and Amanda Scroggs, Educator, have over two decades on the estate. The couple have dedicated themselves to the preservation, restoration, and repurposing of the property.
The Barn 1880 is an historic venue. The Barn 1880, The Corn Crib, and Heritage House will offer guests a chance to enjoy a piece of history, natural beauty, and Hoosier pride.
