Background:
DiRonda Rodriques is a resilient native of New York City who has overcome significant adversity in her life. From a young age, she faced childhood trauma and domestic abuse, which culminated in teen motherhood by one of her abuser. Despite these challenges, DiRonda persevered, albeit struggling with attachment issues stemming from her tumultuous upbringing.

Professional journey:
DiRonda's life took a transformative turn when she joined the New York Police Department (NYPD) with just enough college credits to qualify, even while facing periods of homelessness. Her tenure of nearly 20 years with the NYPD not only provided stability but also became her salvation from becoming another statistic. The responsibilities of motherhood saved her life, while her career in law enforcement empowered her to rise above her circumstances.

Achievements:
Throughout her journey, DiRonda defied the odds. She not only owned a home but also raised her daughter to be independent and resilient. She later married and welcomed another daughter into her life. Determined to break the cycle of adversity, DiRonda pursued higher education, obtaining her bachelor's degree in Human Services after re-entering college. Undeterred by the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, she continued her education and earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in May 2024.

Passion and Mission:
DiRonda's passion lies in empowering marginalized communities through a variety of community-focused services. Her extensive experience and personal journey fuel her dedication to providing psycho-educational programs, seminars, goal-setting initiatives, mentoring, community advocacy, representation, and motivational speaking. She is committed to uplifting others and instilling hope and resilience in those facing similar struggles.
