Appointment day! (Lash day)

Things to do AND not to do prior to appointment

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to provide you with our lash services! Our dedication to our work is paramount, so please don't be alarmed if we remain focused during your session – it ensures the best outcome for your appointment. Here are some tips to maximize your experience and assist us in delivering top-notch service:

We enjoy snacks, but we recommend avoiding chewing gum before your appointment as jaw movement can make it challenging to apply lashes effectively.

While we understand finding childcare can be difficult, if you must bring someone along, ensure they can maintain a quiet presence to make the most of your lash session.

If you rely on coffee but are sensitive to caffeine, consider skipping it before your morning appointment or at least 2-3 hours prior to your visit.

Makeup, especially waterproof mascara and eyeliner, can hinder the lashing process. It's best to avoid these products 24 hours before your appointment. If you arrive with makeup on, please inform us in advance so we can adjust your appointment accordingly.

Feel free to bring headphones for relaxation, as we may have podcasts playing during your session.

We offer blankets for your comfort, but if you need additional neck support, bring along your favorite travel neck pillow.

If you have a specific lash look in mind, bring pictures of your previous lashes or lash strips for reference, and we'll do our best to achieve the desired outcome.

We believe in letting our work speak for itself and look forward to providing you with exceptional lash services!

My Top Tips

Tips on retention!

To make sure your lash extensions last as long as possible, follow these aftercare tips to maximize retention and help them stay fresh for up to 3 weeks or more:

1. Avoid Water and Steam for the First 24–48 Hours

• Lash adhesive takes time to cure completely. Avoid water, steam, and sweat for the first 24 to 48 hours after your appointment. This includes showers, saunas, and heavy workouts.

2. Be Gentle with Your Lashes

• Avoid rubbing your eyes, tugging on lashes, or sleeping face-down. The less friction your extensions experience, the longer they’ll last.

3. Keep Lashes Clean

• Clean lashes regularly with a lash extension-friendly cleanser. Oils, dirt, and makeup residue can weaken the adhesive, so keeping them clean will help maintain retention and prevent infections.

4. Avoid Oil-Based Products Near Your Eyes

• Oil-based makeup and skincare products can break down the adhesive. Opt for oil-free eye makeup and skincare products, especially around the lash line.

5. Brush Lashes Daily

• Use a clean lash brush or spoolie to gently brush your lashes every morning. This helps keep them looking neat and prevents them from tangling.

6. Skip Waterproof Mascara

• Waterproof mascara is difficult to remove and can damage the extensions. If you want more volume, opt for a mascara made specifically for lash extensions, and apply sparingly.

7. Sleep on Your Back

• If possible, sleep on your back or use a silk or satin pillowcase. This minimizes friction and helps reduce lash loss due to rubbing against your pillow.

8. Limit Heat Exposure

• Heat can weaken the bond of the lash adhesive. Avoid direct exposure to high heat sources, like ovens or open flames, and be mindful around hot tools or hairdryers.

9. Schedule Regular Fills

• Most lash extensions need fills every 2–3 weeks to replace fallen lashes and keep them looking full. Sticking to this schedule will keep your lashes looking their best.

10. Avoid Picking or Pulling

• Avoid the temptation to pick at or pull off any loose extensions, as this can damage your natural lashes. Let them shed naturally or have a professional remove them if needed.

Following these tips will help extend the life of your lash extensions and keep them looking fresh and full between fills!

Lash Cleanser I love!

It’s foamy and has tea tree in it to help with an irritation. It helps keep infections out of the eye as well! Make sure to use a fluffy brush as well with this cleanser!

Use this fluffy brush to cleanse your lashes!

I recommend a fluffy brush which is gentle enough to not tug or pull on the lashes. Use dry or wet to cleanse between your lashes.

Quick Cleanse

Use witch hazel on your fluffy brush to natural strip the oils off your lashes for the morning or for a quick cleanse when you need. Make sure to not over saturate your fluffy brush, just make it damp enough to clean your lashes not dripping off of them. Carefully dry lashes with a paper towel (no cotton - cotton pulls), and brush when dry, fluffy and clean once again!

Sleep on this!

You may not be able to sleep on your back because it’s just not comfortable for you. But by sleeping on a silk pillow case it could help your retention tremendously. The smooth surface does not tug or pull on your lashes as much as any other material would. Try sleeping on silk rather than cotton! It helps skin and hair too so it’s a triple threat or should I say triple benefit!
