The Fit-ish Mama
My tips and tricks on what has helped me live a happy and healthy(ish) lifestyle within the craziness of school, work, marriage, and my two little babies (and our cat)
Let me start by saying my name is Dena (dee-nuh) and I am so incredibly glad you are here in my little corner of the internet! 4 years ago I hit what I would classify “rock bottom”. Working 2 (sometimes 3 jobs), in a Masters program, living in a new city without friends and family nearby, and trying to overall feel like I was fulfilled with what I was doing or working towards. I was experiencing severe anxiety regularly for the first time in my life and I had gone down the rabbit hole of microwaveable meals and 18 cups of chocolate milk to give me energy each day.
I started my first health and fitness program after watching a friend from school live her fullest life as a health and fitness coach. Within 2 months of the program, I was finding myself with more energy during my days, taking less naps, going beyond just running on fumes. I’d been able to channel my anxiety into fitness. Had less migraines (which I was diagnosed with at the age of five). I was a new me! I was so excited about the results I was getting that I decided I wanted to become a health and fitness coach myself and share my best tips and tricks on how I was able to find success while still being able to have the Monday Starbucks pick-me-up and Friday Chick-fil-a lunch without feeling guilty about (;
My goal is to share all my knowledge to help you in your mental and physical health and fitness journey as well. Sharing all the tips and tricks that worked for me to find that success and fulfillment.
Within the last 2 years, I’ve also become a mom of 2 and have progressed my coaching business in a way that has been unmatched by success that came from other jobs. With that being said, I love helping others build a business as a coach too! I will help teach you and give you the tools to find success as a coach along with sharing a community of other women running their own businesses and sharing their success too!
