The Hoppy Acre Animal Sanctuary
Animal Rescue & Rehab
We are creating a sanctuary that will be a safe space for rescued non-humans with a collective liberationist approach that is consistently anti-discrimination and looks to connect the struggles of marginalised species, communities and groups. We want to connect their fight for liberation.
We have 5 years rehab experience with rabbits and free-living animals (wild). We are embarking on a journey to try and leave a paw print πΎ on this world for the better and we would love for you to join us on our mission.
We have been inspired by so many brilliant people over the years that have played a part in our goals and missions. None, more so, than Angela Davis.
βWe have to talk about liberating minds as well as liberating society.β Angela Davis.

Our First Hoppy Acre Site !!!
We are finally moving πππ
We are moving in Summer 2021 to Wickford, Essex just outside of London π¬π§
After 15 months of searching, losing 2 places (through no fault of our own), a lot of pain and tears and lost money. We have finally found our sanctuary site.
We have acquired a 300+ year old pink cottage and the 3.5 acres of land that comes with it including 2 acres of untouched woodland.
We couldnβt be happier and canβt wait to share this journey with you β€οΈ
Team Hoppy,
Magda & Elliott

We are fully underway!
The Hoppy Acre is now 2.5 months old and we have been busy constructing (In-house and externally) over 11 enclosures and now have 29 residents living with us at Hoppy Acre.
22 x π
6 x πΏ
1 x π¦
In other news we have spent the last 10 days working on the 3 acres of land we acquired and prepping it for winter so that by next spring we will hopefully have lush land with lots of remaining wild for our future residents to enjoy.
More updates to come soon ππΌ
