My Story —

We each have our own story, our own path of why we’re taking this weightloss journey... here’s mine
After arriving home from being away for 6 months in China I got a job offer to work at a hotel in San Francisco, CA. I took that as another sign of my next great adventure. Over the next 12 months though I quickly realized that just walking up and down those hills and going to the gym twice a week was not enough. I had no friends, no family, a studio apartment and the weight just piling up on my body and leaving that beautiful weighing 207 pounds.
When I moved to Colorado Springs to work at another hotel, I lost 20 pounds and over the next four years of being there I fluctuated between 180-185 pounds, even with good friends and a better social and work life I was concerned and upset I was still over weight but never really did anything, except convince myself working out 2-3 times a week and eating semi healthy was enough to lose weight.
After 4 years it was time to move on and I moved back to Denver, where I got another job opportunity, that did not work out. I ended up fired after 6 months, but not before almost gaining all the weight back. Before my insurance ran out I wanted to get in a doctors visit and the scale said 198.8.
“Here we go again” was what I used to say, but not this time. This time that number scared the crap out of me, or better yet scared the weight off of me. Something clicked in my brain and I went home and donated/threw out all the “bad” food and hit the grocery store.
That is where my weight loss journey begins, in August of 2017. 👍🏼❤️🏃🏼♀️
