I wanted to do a little something to celebrate Women's Month with the International Women's Day theme #BreaktheBias. If you'd like to join, download the Canva template below and edit the background with your photo of choice! Have fun and don't forget to tag @thenoeychu so I can share your posts to my Stories!

WORDS, WORDS, WORDS.

A repository of helpful links to IG posts relevant to me babbling about gaming and other nerdy (and nerdy-adjacent) things.

More to come as I release stuff!

#sevencozydays Day 1: Fortnite (Epic Games)

I love that Fortnite doesn't take itself seriously. I mean: you hide in snowmen, chase ridiculous purple llamas, and have to deal with murderous sharks. Fun, yes? Yes. Very.

#sevencozydays Day 2: Night in the Woods (Infinite Fall)

I got Night in the Woods for free off of Epic Games during the 2021 Christmas Sale. To date, it's still sitting in my laptop, untouched, so I took some time to reflect on why that is.

#sevencozydays Day 3: Hollow Knight (Team Cherry)

Team Cherry's Hollow Knight teaches you to get comfortable with the idea of failure. To consider progress over perfection.

#sevencozydays Day 4: Online Text RPGs

The game I've played the longest isn't on a console; and while I used my laptop and phone for it, it's not a PC or a mobile game.

#sevencozydays Day 5: Monument Valley (Ustwo Games)

I think out of all my selections, this is the game that actually fits the term "cozy" best. There is, after all, a warm and soothing sense of satisfaction in the idea of helping a character find their way home.

#sevencozydays Legends of Runeterra (Riot Games)

Diving headlong into fictional lore can be daunting. With so many characters and story arcs, it's easy to feel overwhelmed.

Runeterra offers it's world and lore piecemeal: You learn while you play. You set the pace of who you get to know and when.

#sevencozydays Day 7: Spiritfarer (Thunder Lotus Games)

I've seen this game everywhere in the last year. It's also been sitting in my Epic, Steam and Switch wishlists for a good long while. Last week, I finally downloaded the demo to test it out and everyone was right: it's a beautiful game.

The visuals are so smooth. It feels (at least as a first impression) like I'm watching a show instead of playing a game. The music is so soothing, I forgot for a moment that the entire premise is about dying and letting go.

@thenoeychu

hello from my end of the internet!

Hello and welcome! If you've found your way here, I'm Noey and I babble about things I enjoy and love.

By day, I'm a Senior Digital Marketer with a specialization in content marketing and publishing. To do away with those snazzy, jargon-ridden terms: I work with businesses and craft content for them for a living.

What is this place? This little website is a catch-all for the stuff I write for myself and for people like you.

It's a corner of the internet that I've carved out for myself and where I write (and talk) about things that interest me:

📌 games + gaming
📌 reads of the fiction and nonfiction variety
📌 reflections on anything under the sun
📌 and occasionally, my life

The truth is, I'm not ready (resources and bandwidth-wise) to commit to full-time blogging and content creation for myself. But I try to write a little a day until I can one day (hopefully) do this on the regular.

This place is currently Under Construction, but if you're interested to follow along and chat — welcome, and I look forward to getting to know you too!

Yes, I take requests.

Have something I might be interested to write about? My inbox is open.
