Meet the Chef
Hi there! I’m Aleli and I’m a private chef, with an obsession for food that began at an early age. At 7 years old, I dreamt of having my very own cookie factory 🍪!
I studied Food Science & Nutrition in college and have enjoyed my career as a food safety professional for the last 18 years. I run my own personal chef business, The Perfect Subo and I’m also a chef instructor for Sur La Table.
I’ve always had a passion for food, cooking and entertaining friends and family. The moment had finally arrived when I decided to bet on myself and leave my day job to become a personal chef. 3 months after I quit, I entered an ube bake off competition and won! Needless to say, that confirmed I had made the right decision.
Growing up as a first generation Filipino American, like most Filipino households, food was used as an expression of love. I’m honored to share my love for food and my culture to create delicious memories for my clients. I specialize in Filipino inspired cuisine using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
I currently offer boutique private brunches/dinners and corporate team building + virtual and live private cooking classes.
