Hey 👋 girl! I'm Nirlande Singleton founder of The VA Toolbox virtual assistant services and online training hub for virtual assistants and virtual business owners. I’m also the creators of Virtual Assistants Brunch an offline meetup group of Virtual Assistants and #womensupportingwomen who love to brunch. I am a Mom of two beautiful kids, wife to a pastry chef and servant of Jah. My story: Two weeks after giving birth to my second child, I suffered a major heart attack at the young age of 31. After three months on maternity leave and another three months on medical leave (a whole 6 months off!), I went back to my nine to five. However, I didn't quit my job right away. My heart attack was definitely a wake up call when my boss had to suddenly call the EMTs to roll me out in a stretcher to the ER from my cubicle. Yes... My heart was giving out on me once again and, in that moment lying on a hospital bed in the ER, I knew I was never going back to my 9 to 5. While I was on a 4-week medical leave once again, I started my VA journey. I had a preschooler at home that kept me busy, so I worked nights and weekends on my VA business, had a meltdown in my kitchen, finally decided to implement systems and processes, enlisted in a mentor, started making 5k+ consistently per month. Happily, quit my job and never looked back! I've been living life on my own terms ever since. I did all this without a functional and responsive website. I didn't have a mailing list and only made deals in my DMs. Eventually, enough women asked about my business which led me to create the VA in 5 Days Course (now known as The VA Toolbox Academy) with the 5 simple steps that helped me get visible, get clients and get paid. I want to share them with you. I help virtual assistants, service based providers and freelancers create systems and processes in their business to calm the chaos, work less and be happy (making money).
