HALLO!
I’m Teka
I’m a professional costume technician and IATSE wardrobe hand who lives in Lexington Kentucky and yearns to get back to Portland Oregon, my hometown.
I’ve spent an ungodly amount of time learning and researching and digging into all sort of nonsense having to to with clothing construction and textiles, both historic and modern and then trying it all out myself.
Currently, my big project is trying to write a how-to book on tutu construction because such a beast doesn’t exist in the world as well as trying to get my custom pattern making business off the ground.
When not elbow deep in fabric, I can also be found knitting, reading, playing pirate-themed games on XBox, theorizing ways of acquiring a tall ship, racewalking, and subjecting students to protest songs and sea shanties.
