About Meee

Hello, I’m Tilly. I am 19 and have been painting ever since I was little. Over the past few years I have found my love for painting animals in particular, and have now started a small business of selling my paintings :)

I am currently on a gap year and off to study Marine Zoology at uni in September - I know... it’s completely different to art... but just trying to keep all my options covered!!

Enjoy looking at my paintings, I hope they make you as happy as they make me when painting them! Xx

This is a very special painting which has been painted in loving memory of Daisy Strange; an incredibly special person, with the biggest heart and the most infectious laugh and smile. Daisy was utterly gorgeous inside and out and touched the lives of so many people. She was an inspiration to me and so many others and somebody who I will never forget. She was so talented in many fields but hockey in particular, if you look closely at the painting you may be able to see a number 6 which was her number for Trojan’s hockey club. If you didn’t have the privilege of knowing daisy I have attached her story below, so you have some idea of her very brave journey.

Due to so many inquires about the last highland cow painting, I have painted this one in order to try and raise money for The Royal Marsden Teenage cancer trust. This painting is up for a silent auction where 100% of the profits will be donated to The Royal Marsden Teenage Cancer trust in memory of Daisy, and as a tribute to her. If you would like to make a bid for this painting, I would be so grateful. The starting price is £500 and the highest bid will receive this painting ‘For Daisy’. Please send me your bids by either private message on Facebook or email me - tillylockart@outlook.com - The closing date for this silent auction is midday on Sunday the 14th of June, and I will announce the winner on my Facebook page :) for more photos of the painting, have a look on this Facebook page.

In October 2019, Daisy was in the unlucky 2% of non smokers to be diagnosed with stage 4 tongue cancer at the age of 24. In November she underwent extensive life changing surgery at the royal marsden hospital in Chelsea in order to try and remove the cancer. Her neck was dissected and all lymph nodes were removed, her jaw was broken and most of her tongue was removed and replaced with skin from her thigh and she had a tracheotomy to help her breathe. When removing the tumour, the surgeons needed to remove a clear margin of around 1cm each side to make sure they had all the cells; the tumour they removed was the size of a mandarin and had become incredibly toxic and although they were able to remove the tumour, they were unable to get the clear margins they were hoping for and the cancer had spread to both the left and right. Daisy’s recovery began to improve once the tubes and drains started to be removed, however, she struggled to speak, swallow or do anything without help. In December Daisy harvested her eggs and started to undergo a course of extreme chemotherapy.

On the 11th of April 2020, daisy sadly lost her incredibly brave battle with cancer at the age of 25. Daisy touched so many lives and is missed deeply and widely by so many. 💛 #doitfordaisy #number6
