I’m Dr. Angelica Cifuentes. Born in Colombia and raised in Miami. I am a board certified optometric physician practicing in Miami, Florida.

I completed my undergraduate studies with honors at Florida International university. Earned a second bachelor’s in vision science from Nova Southeastern university while concurrently pursuing my optometric degree. I earned my Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in 2022.

I am a dry eye enthusiast and the CEO and Co-Founder of Bye Dry Eyes (www.ByeDryEyes.com) a one stop shop for all your dry eye Eyecare needs.

I am an active member of various esteemed optometric associations including the American Optometric Association (AOA), Florida Optometric Association (FOA), and the Miami Dade Optometric Association (MDOPA), where I proudly serve as a junior trustee board member.

Beyond local associations, I am a visionary board member at the Contact Lens Institute, Key Opinion Leader for Essilor Transition lenses, part of the communications committee with Women In Eyecare (WIE), a member of the Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society (TFOS), Latinos En Optometry (LEO) and Optometry Divas South Florida Chapter.

I am passionate about dry eye, myopia control and contact lenses. I love sharing my passion for optometry by mentoring pre-optometry students and current optometry students. I serve as a mentor for Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry Florida Optometric Student Association (NSUCO FOSA).

I enjoy advocating and educating through @Tinyoptometrist on various social media channels including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

Outside of optometry, I enjoy content creation, fitness and traveling.

Being fluent in English and Spanish I am dedicated to bridging language barrier in providing eye care and education.
