FAQs:

What do you want to know?

“What are the benefits of Massage Therapy?”

Great question! There are SO many amazing things that happen to our bodies and mind when we receive a massage. Though my background and training is focused on mental health and trauma recovery, my treatment sessions also address other issues clients may have.
🌱

Benefits of Massage Therapy (all but not limited to):

-Stress Relief
-Decrease Symptoms of Anxiety/Depression
-Promotes Relaxation
-Improves Quality of Sleep
-Improves symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or other digestive issues
-Aids in the process of healing physical injuries
-Increases/improves blood circulation
-Improves & decreases Chronic Pain
-Treats & alleviates Migraines/headaches

“How often should I receive a massage?”

Many clients may use massage for preventative care or to manage daily stress. One massage a month is common while weekly sessions may be ideal for if you are receiving massage for injury relief or chronic pain that interferes with your daily life. Many people may book a session twice a month for optimal and consistent relief.

“Will I be covered during my session?”

You will be properly covered or draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. You should undress to your desired level of comfort. In general, massage is given while the client is disrobed (undergarments only). You will undress and dress in the privacy of your own space and will be securely covered by a blanket and a sheet during your massage session. Only the area being worked on will be exposed. No areas will be exposed without your consent. If you ever feel uncomfortable during your session, please let me know what I can do to provide a safe, comfortable and effective session for you.

“What is included in my session time?”

Each session consists of hands on massage, set up/take down, time for you to dress and undress and time to communicate to me what your needs may be. An Initial Intake/Assessment will be sent to you after you have completed booking with me to assure a safe and effective session.

Policies/Procedures

Once you book a session with me, you will be sent an Initial Intake/Assessment form that outlines the details of my policies & procedures.

COVID-19 Guidelines/Procedure

California’s stay at home order allows Massage Therapy to operate indoors while following certain standards and procedures.

Face masks ARE REQUIRED during all treatment sessions. Masks can be tucked under your chin when you are facing down on the table, but must be worn when you are facing up on the table.

I will be wearing a medical grade face mask during the entire duration of the session and will wash my hands before and after the session.

All surfaces, sheets and equipment used will be sanitized, disinfected and wiped down before and after each session.

I will be taking extra measures to assure your safety and sanitation. Please maintain proper hygiene prior to your scheduled session such as taking a shower and washing your hands to prevent spread of bacteria or germs.

If you are feeling sick or unwell, please reschedule your session for a future date after you have recovered.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your session up to 24 HOURS before you scheduled booking date and time. Any cancellations without a 24 hour notice will be fined the service charge in FULL. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you are sick or feeling unwell, please give me a notice as early as you can to reschedule.

I am small and local business, please respect my time as I respect and honor yours. If you do need to cancel or reschedule a session, please contact me at 224-944-1607 or email me at ragethe.mt@gmail.com.

Travel Policy & Fee

A travel fee of $10 will be applied to locations outside of a 20 mile radius from where I am traveling. I am based in La Habra but I may have back to back sessions in different locations.

You will receive a notification 24hrs before your session if this fee applies.
