Join us on Jan 18th for boba! In the WRRC Library, 1st floor of North Hall from 12-2pm.
The UC Davis Women’s Resources and Research Center (WRRC) promotes gender equity in all forms and in all spaces. Theater has a long and complicated history of exclusion, patriarchy, and white supremacy. The industry has moved forward in some ways, but there is so much yet to restructure.
Six the Musical is a musical retelling of the lives of Henry the Eighth’s six wives from a feminist perspective. For this program, we are taking eight students, who have never seen a show before, to go see Six the Musical on Broadway in Downtown Sacramento. The show will be accompanied by transportation, dinner and discussion about theater through an intersectional lens! Preference will go to marginalized students that have not experienced a musical theatre show.
If you have any questions, please contact Varuna Singh (varsingh@ucdavis.edu) or Belen Alcantar (balcantar@ucdavis.edu)!
The Women of Color Retreat is hosted by the UC Davis Women's Resource & Research Center to foster opportunities for identity and skill development as well as community building for women and femme identified UC Davis students. This year, our theme for WOCR is Reimagining Healing, Reimagining Self: Unmasking What's Within!
