Vagina care
I’m Beauty Simeon the founder of Vagina care
Vagina care is an initiative that aims to educate and provide girls and women with the adequate resource to take care of their vagina health.
At Vagina care the goal is to teach girls and women how to care for their vagina, things to do and things not to do to keep the vagina clean and healthy as well as providing pads to girls and women who can't afford to get some as well. Further education from Vagina care involves insights into menstruation, vagina hygiene and other changes in their bodies and why they are happening, addressing adolescent girl issues to make sure that the girls do not lose out on education, and above all creating awareness about the big and fairly ignored problem of girls missing school for lack of feminine product. At Vagina care #givegirlspad we believe in giving every girl child every means necessary to reach their great potentials. Most often young girls in Nigeria have to skip school and stay home simply because they cannot afford to buy sanitary pads during their menstrual periods, and in our view something so natural and integral to a growing woman’s development should not be a barrier to her success or meant as an embarrassment or shame.
Give Girls Pad
Why you should join Give Girls Pad?
According to UNICEF, one in ten school girls in Africa miss classes or drop out completely due to their period, and substitute pads or tampons for less safe and less absorbent materials such as rags, newspaper or tissue papers, the Vagina Care initiative aims to provide solutions to this issue down here in Nigeria.
In Nigeria due to economic and cultural reasons sanitary towels/ pads are too expensive, and given that those items are not a luxury and are critically necessary in light of the economic situation of the pocket books of most young ladies who barley have enough to feed.
