Crochet was a yarn craft that I’ve avoided throughout the past years because I just couldn’t read the patterns. My mom does crochet so this time, with full attention, she was able to teach me the basics of crochet.

Later on, I switched to watching youtube videos and I found the written instructions easier than reading the pattern.

My first crochet project was a bucket hat and the latest project that I learned how to make are amigurumi :>

I’ve started painting at around 2013, with acrylics, earliest that I can remember. But I only took painting seriously during the start of pandemic 2020, with gouache this time.

I fell in love with painting and it’s definitely one of my top favorite hobbies to do.

Calligraphy was a hype last 2016 and during these times, there were a lot of workshops and yes, I’ve joined them too!

I would do calligraphy almost everyday during 2017-2018 and also started to build up my social media account.

If you’ve scrolled all the way down on my instagram (lol), you would see how I transitioned from a colorful and playful calligraphy style to a more monotone and formal style.

I’ve started a workshop called “Letteringthumbs” with my good friend kim, last 2018. We’ve done workshops in Cebu and in Dumaguete and it was quite a ride. Presently, both of us are focusing more on our careers and so we’ve let the workshops go; but the hobby remains!

I joined an online loom weaving workshop last September 2020. I’ve been making projects from leftover yarns from my crochet.

I don’t do this hobby all the time but it’s cool to know how to make diy wall decors haha! and to be able to know how to use the loom.

I started shooting with film last April 2022. I love the excitement and thrill in only seeing the photos that I took after they are developed.

There is something special in capturing moments without actually seeing the moments on screen; which we do all the time.
